after seeing how floyd jr owned marquez (the same guy who gave manny fits), i'd say floyd has a definite advantage now. not discounting manny though, i'm a filipino and i'd be rooting for him for sure. just that floyd looks rock solid with his defense. that might neutralize manny's speed and aggresivenes. I don't know, i'm not even sure if the fight will happen, but i'm gonna pray for manny.

relax. that was just a scheme by GBP and Floyd to gain leverage against a mega fight with Manny. They knew not all fighters can move up in weight the way Pacquiao had been moving up so they picked Pacquiao's nemesis as a sacrificial lamb.
If all fighters could move up in weight and retain their speed, power and composure, then most fighters would've moved up to welter since that's where the big bucks are. nor will heavyweight be as empty as it is now if it was that easy.

hey, sorry but, u dont seem to see the difference of manny back then and now, id say, if u compare him on his fight with marquez way back, that is a totally diff pacquiao, in my opinion, marquez is nothing compared to manny now.. the guy is so comfortable in this weightclass, its like he's born to be a welterweight, as for marquez, he's just not at the same rank as pacquiao..

There isnt a big difference in 2 years. The fight was 09/07. scoring had Juan Manuel Márquez landing 42/201 (21%) jabs to Pacquiao's 43/314 (14%) jabs, it also had Márquez scoring 130/310 (42%) power punches to Pacquiao's 114/305 (37%) power punches.. . How ever manny is definietly more of a natural welterweight then marquez. Neither fighter has completly dominated eachother to prove that one fighter is better then the other as featherweigths. They are both great fighters.

Im with you on this! Floys offense is his defense and no one has a better defense then mayweather. . Nothing taken away from Manny,hes a great fighter with tremendous skill,speed,heart and a great left hand but floyd has all of the above and then some. It would be a good fight with mayweather as the winner. He's just a better technician,boxer,counter puncher not to mention precision hitter. Like in any other sport " defense wins games". Same rule applys to boxing!

What a beating Pacquiao gave Berrera! He dismantled him slowly and thoroughly, just like skinning someone to make him never forget who is his maker! Berrera is a dirty fighter in addition to being a sourpuss. He tried every dirty trick in the book, hit after the break, head-butt, hold behind the head , tie and punch, hit after the bell but nothing helped him! Nice fight! Awsome Pacquiao!!!
