  • WISH SCOTT STILL MADE ECU'S . CANT SEEM TO FIND HIM ANYMORE. WAS DJ-ING FOR A WHILE ,

  • the description "modified stock bottom end sr20det" is poorly worded, but for people who read the opening list of parts it makes sense. Its "Modified, stock bottom end, sr20det"

and yea i think enthalpy is a DJ in Europe now, he made friends with Tiesto after tuning his S14 and Ferry Corsten flew him over to work on his SR, so Scott decided to stay and make mad tyte euro beats for the new Initial D series.

  • the sound at 1:22 = sword unsheathed = time to lay down some big numbers.

  • too bad secretservice , jarco , and heavythrottle are no more. had friends at all 3 shops . sucks.

  • Word is the guy moved to rs-enthalpy//com

  • yeah , thats scott....hes dj-ing these days i hear...this is a pretty old video...03-04 or so id guess..... he deff did some nasty nasty tunes in his day....

  • hey wt turbo u think is better for the sr20 a gt 30 or a gt35r

  • bad ass ride... by the way. whats LSD?

  • Limited slip differential meaning when you do a burn out whether it be in a straight line, around corners, or one side in grass and the other on cement, both tires are gonna spin. With no lsd, most of the time you'll only get one tire spinning.

  • I wanna slap you ass and call you sally.

  • I wanna make you go back to grammar school and not call you a fail.

  • lol

  • lol yea i mean i knew what limited slip differential meant i just thought lsd was short for something else

  • It says: modified stock bottom end sr20det

  • the bottom end was un touched, the head was modified.

  • LOL

  • modified bottom end DOES NOT mean stock, doesnt make sense, its like Jumbo Shrimp, silly b!tchesI

BUt I run enthalpy tune so its nothing but love! a lil too rich but? I havent sat on the dyno yet........

  • HAHA.......Jumbo Shrimp does actually make sense!.........Shrimp is a type of animal...........Shrimp is not a Prawn!

  • its an oxymoron

  • how is that bottom end holding all that power?!??! impressive!

  • Trogdor!!!!!

  • wow compressor surge much? your turbo is mismatched fools i.e. too big :P

  • uh, I hear no surge. Mismatch doesn't cause surge. Throttle valves do. WTF are you talking about?

  • Wow, I've seen SR stock bottom end blow out with less than 450hp. O_O

  • How many miles are on that bottom end?

  • modified stock bottom end... wow that is just redundant...

    either way pretty good.

    comp surge ftl

  • how much boost?

  • i bet your head is fully built if your going to have that much power with bottom end stock

  • I love ceramic bearings.

  • sounds like you got BOV leakage just as the turbo starts to spool up.

  • need to change the springs in your Waste Gate..

  • Its compressor surge...nothing to do with a BOV in any way...do some reading....

  • Compressor surge is when the compressor stalls because the air has nowhere to go. This only happens when the turbo is making boost and the throttle plate is shut quickly. This is why the BOV was invented. Compressor surge is extremely unlikely when the throttle plate is obviously wide open. Do some reading yourself.

  • Wyndup: OWNED!!!!!

  • you are correct, except that compressor surge also occurs when the compressor is operating to the left of the compressor map: "The slightly kinked diagonal line on the main (i.e. lower) part of the map is known as the surge (or stall) line. Above this line is a region of unstable flow, which is an area best avoided.

A compressor surge, typically, causes an abrupt reversal of the airflow through the unit, as the pumping action of the aerofoils stalls (akin to an aircraft wing stalling)."

    idiots

  • Yes this is true but I assumed that if the guy is making 549hp out of a 2.0L engine that he knows what turbo is best for his setup and therefore is not having unstable airflow issues. But yes running a turbo out of it's intended performance range will cause compressor stall like you said.

  • Listen at 1:23 !

    what do u call that??

  • That pulsating sound is exactly what I am talking about. It is the BOV leaking just as the turbo spools.

  • ^^^^^^^^^reply to yamahav8 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

  • LOL.

  • run more boost get more torque

  • ezactly you need tq when you have a heavy ass car like yours

  • Haha very funny, but how much weigh have your ls1???

  • see you at the track asking him for help picking up the rods of your v8.

  • LS1s are heavy, they get smoked by civics all day..

  • it depends on what you need.

to be totally efficiently, you only need as much torque is required to get the car moving, and then rev high enough to get into higher speed.

Unless you have some need to tow something, you dont' need a lot of torque for a light car

  • tell me how much did u pay for the engine?

    or how much it cost

  • stock bottom? how long would that last with that much power being used? NICE!!!

  • holy shit the spooling hurts my teeth.

    what an amazing machine

  • jarco is the hook up
