@SpaceHead99 No he didn't. DD came out in 1976. I doubt had even heard of Van Halen at that point. If he stole it from anyone, it was from Ace Frehely. Ace was doing it back in 1975 on television. But, like I said he didn't steal it because he didn't even use tapping for that solo. It just sounds like it. He's doing pull offs on the b string.

Angus Young once said his brother Malcolm was a better guitar player than Eddie..Angus said in a interview I read back in the 80's that he wasn't a fan of guitar players that cram every note they know into one song..he was talking about Eddie..I think he was patheticly jealous of Eddie

When I hear this stuff from 1984 I could cry...that time I was a teenager and about to see VH in Nuremberg. I didn´t go because my buddy did´t go and I was to chicken to get on the bus alone....

After that DLR left the band and for some reason this person just played crap....it was like loosing the last concert of Jimmy Hendrix...

I was there and the thing is that AC/DC was headlining the tour and didn't like that Van Halen TOTALLY blew them away in Donington.

So they ruined the sound for Van Halen and Motley Crue.

Since that day i hate AC/DC!

Look, i am a great fan of =VH=, not so Van Hagar. I am also a great fan of ACDC, untill Flick of the switch. After that, it went downhill. =VH= was awesome with Dave, nice with Hagar till F.U.C.K. But oldskool ACDC and =VH= in my opinion are BOTH brilliant.

@theShowStopper321 I've never heard that before. I think Eddie did it because he was getting sick of "shredding" so much and wanted to go back basics. Plus, this was around the time he did that blues album with Brian May. Eddie has always incorporated lots of blues in his playing. And he kept doing the blues jam on the 5150 tour. I doubt Eddie cares what Angus Young thinks. I think fans care way more about that stuff than those guys do.

Man you post awsome RARE solos by van halen. Fun to hear his bluesy stuff. He seems to have done that alot the 1984 tour
