  • Thank you. Do you have DVD with more???

  • Yep, the DVD is available from my website.

  • This is an excellant introductory video. The slow-motion sequences are particularly helpful. I have several riqq tutors on DVD but had never seen the strokes done in slow motion before. My only criticism is that I did have a problem with understanding the accent and had to replay some words several times to decode them.

  • I remember one Turkish composer saying, if you manage this instrument(riq/taumbourine) you are DONE with the ritm training. It sounded funny to me that time. Now i am convinced.

  • The riqq may be the most complex percussion instrument in the world. Although I bought the riqq before my other Middle Eastern drums because of my complete fascination with it, I have chosen to learn the def first because it is a little less overwhelming to start with.

Sosti - what does "ritm" stand for?

  • Oh my!!! I am sorry for the BAD BAD English. I just tought ritm is written as it is in Turkish. I meant rhythm (I should have used BEAT instead may be)

  • Oh thank you, no problem. Now it is perfectly obvious. Hopefully I will remember this if I see it again.

  • amazing player

  • holy this guy rocks!
