  • China is ruined by the late Qing monarchs, they were ignorant, arrogant, and didn't recognize how militarily and technologically weak their empire was compared to the Europeans. I've always wondered what China would be like if it had taken a path similar to the Japanese Meji restoration.

  • 1:54 Zheng He's Elite Guard look so freakin sick

  • Thank you very much for this video! Two of the greastest dinasties of Chinese History may they be praised!

  • This video went viral on United Kingdom

  • @kx06

No, China Isn't Brainwashed By The

    "White Devils",China Brainwashes THEM!

    XD

  • No triple barrel pole gun? lol

  • Is Davy Chen's book available in English? The pics you have here are noted in English but I can only find the Chinese editions of the book.

  • @CuriosityRoads i dont know if there is an english version, mine is in chinese

  • i'm glad china is not brainwash by the white devils and there fucken stupid religion. look what happen to Africa and the Americas.

  • I loooove Chinese history and culture. They have achieved and contributed so much more than any country in the West had. China is the greatest Empire in history.

  • great series of videos !

Can you do one about the Republican era as well ? :)

  • @JacobTheIndoAmerican Atleast get your facts right when you troll. Your statement was true in the Yuan dynasty, not the Qing. The Manchus didn't put Hans at the bottom. In fact, they were around the top.

  • but in the Taiping kingdom, the chinese wore their hair long again. too bad the Taiping didnt defeat the Qing

  • @JudgeDee7 lol im glad taiping lost, if they won, china would've became a christian country, with all the traditional cultures destroyed.

  • @firearthwater Isnt that happening anyway? If the Taiping won, then the inefficient and ultra-conservative Confucianists would have been kicked out, and China could have saved itself a century of poverty and anarchy

  • @JudgeDee7 change one government wont save china from poverty and anarchy, and taiping was very corrupt too, tahts why they lost

  • @firearthwater the Taiping were much less corrupt than the rotting Qing, and they defeated because of European help to the Qing; if the Europeans had stayed neutral, the better organized and led Taiping would have crushed the old Empire

  • @JudgeDee7

The Taiping lords were hypocrites, hindered progress and killed each other out of mistrust.

Initially they managed to gain ground due to religious zeal.

Once that zeal was gone their strength crumbled precisely because their governance was *bad*.

  • i guess the most inefficient and ultra-conservative religion is christianity.

then u must ask me why are there USA and Europe so modernized. i can answer u that its the result of

    de-christianization.

    be reminded that,

middle dark ages - zenith of christianity

age of renaissance, exploration, industrization and science revolution - zenith of anti-christianity

so, if the Taiping won, china will be second philippines, not USA, sorry for that.

  • @mapscraper i think the barbarism of dark age europe had to do more with other factors than religion. Remmeber the Byzantines, Europe's most civilized state, was also devoutly Christian. Also, medieval Islamic states were very advanced. All in all, however, its probably true that the Taiping might have been hindered by religion, but china really did need a new dynasty to replace the rotting Qing.

  • @JudgeDee7 , i agree that china really did need a new dynasty to replace the rotting Qing, but it must not be Taiping because Taiping is times rotter.

  • Manchus enslaved the Hans.

Northern and Southern Hans are on the bottom of the their class system.

  • wow.....I can't believe that Ming dynasty ships were so huge @.@

  • Can someone tell me how I can acquire a Ming Dynasty Generals uniform? I am trying to reenact a character for a bit in a play

  • What's the music? 风的誓言, ...?

  • Ming's armor like Yuan.

  • @aaa1162 Ming were a combination of Song and Yuan armor......山纹甲,明光甲是宋朝的,布面甲是元朝的。

  • @firearthwater 清朝好象也受元朝明朝影响

  • @aaa1162 是的,每个朝代都受前朝的影响

  • Magnificent video!

  • The thing I hate MOST about the qing dynasty are:

FUCKING HAIRZZZZ OMGOMG OMGOMGMOGG >:O They make foreigners think China had those type of hair from like 0 A.D or something!

  • @Hpyrr328 Actually, you'd be surprised how many of us "durn fureners" know about such things... >;D

  • @Kagetora2010

    :O !!!!!

  • @Hpyrr328 lol it's a tribal manchu hairstyle, even Qing emperors must abide(or lose their head)

it was imposed to every chinese because it was also used as a way to identify non loyalists/rebels.

believe it or not the person who imposed compulsory pigtail to all chinese and the death penalty for cutting the pigtail is a han chinese.

early qing dynasty were actually more lenient and benevolent. banned slavery, tried to stop foot binding(failed), ect.

  • @Hpyrr328 oh not to mention the hairstyle was also used to ease ethnic tensions, you wouldn't really hate each other when you all look and dressed the same don't you?

  • @tdzheng

That makes so much more sense.. But I still hate the hairstyle xDDDD

  • @Hpyrr328 xD

  • @tdzheng like Hpyrr328 said, that makes alot sense, never thought of that before, thanks

  • @firearthwater no prob =)

alot of ppl misunderstood what happened at that time thinking they're oppressors n such xD

  • heh, i like the ming, but i do not consider the Qing a chinese dynasty or the yuan.

  • @JulianThePhilosopher

they are not Han but they are Chinese, but does it really matter whos pure blooded or not, as long as they adopt and embrace chinese culture i will recognize them, even if they are caucasians or africans for all i care.

  • @firearthwater hehe u know the early chinese who came to singapore. They were all traid members. The initiation ceremony is bizzare. The headman had a weighing scale and a ruler. The weighing scale symbolises the sins of the manchurians agaisnt the han. The ruler meant that for every inch of territory the manchus took from us we will take it back. The members then mixed their blood in a cup of water and drank it. The fist of rightous harmony as it is known. Nowdays the traids in Sg follow this.

  • @firearthwater There is "xiao yi he" which is an offshoot of Yi he yuan. and a whole lot more. A lot of my relatives used to be secret society members. The Triads protected the chinese from the British colonialist and the muslim extremists.

  • @JulianThePhilosopher well hello there. Nice to see you.

  • @firearthwater There never "pure" Han Chinese it was always colection of different peoples that adopt or had a comom culture language etc that had tough a great diversity among them I guess the Quing Dinasty was the last phase of this.
