I've seen the Who live, great show. Watched Zepplin concerts, they don't sound so good live. Beatles sound great live, except for equipment. Put all three on a stage with same sound setup, the Beatles would knock the others socks off. Listen to the Beatles harmonies live, then compare to Zepplin or the Who. Oh yea, Zepplin does'nt have harmony, or any background vocals, the Who's are ok, just enough to cover Daltrey's so called "voice." Beatles rule, and I feel fine.

Not sad, scared. The Beatles received numerous death threats the whole time they were in Japan, as a result of being booked at the Budokan. Japanese WWII vets took exception to something as crass as a 'pop group' playing at a venue intended for martial arts exhibitions and war veteran gatherings, and threatened to kill the group. Even though this is not one of their better live performances, it's a wonder they even had the cajones to take the stage at all.

It's just amazing that John didn't have the presence of mind to simply take his guitar off for a second, ask the incompetent stage managers for some gaffer tape and fix that annoying swiveling microphone himself, because they obviously didn't know how to fix it! It would have been great! I guess it didn't dawn on them at the time, that they could have done just about anything on stage and got away with it.
