@Sewmuchquilting My sister had a broken vintage Necchi machine, a friend and I just opened it up and fixed it so I'm really excited about using it, it's such a beautiful machine. Thanks! It's great to see how it is actually done stitch by stitch. Did you glue it down? Do I have to glue it down first? Is the background fabric thick denin?

@aidabach  Yes I did use denim on the background, and the hear was fused to the background. You could just pin it or use a glue stick if you prefer.

Great tutorial. I do have a question though, Did you use some type of iron on fusible material or starch on the heart. It looks really stiff and I was just wondering. Also what type of thread did you use? It looks really thick. Thanks again for sharing.

Thanks for this video. This will be my first time and I working on something for the school auction. I was a little worried the fabric will scrunch up and may need something firm underneath. Will try this blind hem stitch.

There are very few tutorial videos that are straight to the point. Thank you for not telling me the exact shade of pink the heart is, the die cut you used for the heart, where you purchased you denim, your dogs name, your favorite movie, and what the background noise is. I found this very helpful :)

I love the way your machine sews the stitch. Which machine do you use?

That was done on my Babylock. Many machines have this stitch, It is called a blind hem stitch. Play with the width and length till you find what you like. Another option would be the zig zag stitch.

Thanks for posting this.  I am a beginner applique quilter. I have my hearts and squares cut out but didn't exactly know how to applique together.
