"Watcher of the Skies" aunque no nos demos cuenta expresa lo que nosotros hacemos desde que nacemos tiene un sentido filosofico ya que nosotros determinamos nuestros viajes y nuestros hechos como humanos existentes en este mundo...
omfg i saw this on tv live, circa 1973, on 'midnight special' and the audio was on WBUS (miami) in "stereo" and live! we could not believe what we were watching, it was amazing!!!
I think Duke(1980) was their last great one... With 'Genesis'(1983) they finaly sounded much more commercial, good stuff but from another kind than de albums from the 1970's.
@darbessbueyws: Must agree, that was a good album, although I didn't like it at the time because of Misunderstanding. I still think Driving the Last Spike was a great song, though, especially the lyrics.
genesis were very interesting until 1974 (lamb). everything was a risc, something special at the edge to failure. fresh. aggressive. a challenge for themselves and the audience too. behind every title very hard work. but all what came later was pop. and very boring too.
Yeah! Love this, the 2nd, and 3rd phases of Genesis! To me, when they went pop, they still did not sound like any1 else. The new mix of Foxtrot is coming soon but when in the U.S?
The remixes come out in September all over the world, as far as I remember. I'll have to pick up an SACD player.
I like Genesis's progressive pop approach, it stopped them from losing their public, and lets face it, as long as Tony Banks is playing keyboards they'd never be anything but progressive.
I've some reviews on this DVD, Genesis @ Shepperton, and they say the picture and sound quality are poor. They are on this vid. Wonder if they will be cleaned up for inclusion on the upcoming SEBTP reissue
I have the Shepperton film, it's not in bad condition. The audio is a bit "soft", but it's very enjoyable. There are other videos they could use though, like the Melody '74 tape.
Actually, that will be on the Lamb reissue. Also, Genesis' performance on Belgium TV will be on the Foxtrot reissue. Basically, the reissues will probably have everything from the Gabriel era that is on YouTube
Update: the Genesis remixes will be out 10/6, according to wikipedia. Was the Genesis Live in Europe '07 CD released in the U.S 1st? If so, then the info on wikipedia is correct
I am with you partygirl. Ex-NYer here now living in Wisconsin. Brings back memories of my biggest worry getting beer money or borrowing my sister's car to go on a date.
Same here - Ex NY'r who now lives in Florida. Genesis with Gabriel marks a time in my life where my most urgent needs were my next buzz and next pair of jugs.
My unfavorite from Genesis, sorry ! Maybe i'm wrong ?

Criaturas moldaram o solo deste planeta
Agora seus reinados chegaram ao fim
A vida novamente destruiu a vida?
Eles brincam em outro lugar, ou será que sabem
Mais do que seus jogos de infância?
Talvez o lagarto desprendeu-se de sua calda
Este é o fim da união do Homem com a Terra

There are people who love " I can Dance" or "I can't dance" and comment here.
Please let's forgive them.

"Watcher Of The Skies", "Vigilante De Los Cielos", es el tema que abre "Foxtrot", cuarto disco de Genesis.

I wish I had seen the real Genesis back in the day. All I've ever seen is the post-ABACAB Phil Collins pop band. :-(

I was not saying it is better than the early work, don't be so abrasive. I was saying that phil's era wasn't just rubbishy pop music

I live in America so I won't get SACD. According to some websites, the remixes come out in the U.S 1st. Is this true?
JIF882 3 years ago
Ah yeah, that's a bit strange. I don't know about the release dates, I can't find anything online, even the official website.
