Hey, Cool video! we are thinkin of heading out and riding up from Lilongwe to near Mzuzu. We really want to take it off the main lakeshore road and onto some tracks. From your video you say they are mainly tracks, were these more narrow walk ways or "roads"? A friend is tryin to persuade us not to do it as there arent any proper routes-did you find this? Do you have a map you could recommend that would be good to use to find routes? ANy help and advice would be awesome!
Subutubiata. Flying to an exotic location to ride a bike is, indeed, a huge waste of CO2. I try to limit my flying as much as I can.
For the record, I haven't flown to an exotic country for a bike tour for some years (Interbike Las Vegas is work!). Recently I've been taking my family on cycle tours via ferry to the Netherlands. I'd much rather arrive somewhere overland.
Wow. Reduce your carbon footprint by cycling in the UK; then increase it exponentially by flying to cycling holidays in Africa, the Americans and Asia. That way you can stay wet and still do you bit in condemning millions to climate change misery. Genius.
You are a first class idiot. Where does he say he is even trying to reduce his carbon footprint? Anyway, he is still miles ahead of those that take planes and cars. And suppose you have never travelled anywhere by plane? Moron.
You're right, he never claims he's trying to reduce his carbon footprint, nor does he directly state that he's a drab, prosaic, ugly little yuppie pillock. Then again, he doesn't need to. Somtimes we can derive motive and character directly from action - at least those of us capable of abstract thought can.
You still haven't addressed whether you actually fly anywhere. Or do you just stay at home in the dreary UK with your head up your arse? You also haven't addressed my assertion that you are a moron. Any thoughts?
