I know people say the ending was bullshit but it made sense and wrapped everything in a pretty bow. Mitchell had to die, had to make room for the next crimelord. In this case it is the up and coming footballer. Keira's character overcame he reclusiveness and left the UK for the first time since the rape. Also, her manager overcame his agoraphobia and we know not what happened to him. All in all, a very good film in which the negative "accredited" reviews instill it with cult-class nostalgia.

Great movie, i think the ending great because the paradox of letting the kid go and then get killed by that same kid without the knowledge of that young football player. It's not just another ''hollywood'' movie. Ends like these are exceptional!
