Great lighting tips. Do you have any tips for people who use the video function on digital cameras? I have a Canon Powershot SD1200 IS, which takes great pictures, but the video function isn't the best. It doesn't pick up sound that well, and the picture can be kind of grainy. I don't have the money to buy a real deal video camera, so this is what I'm stuck with. Halp?
@bugly1 Good questions! Did you notice how we have a second audio recorder attached to that mic? That's our solution to crummy built-in camera audio. If you can sync the audio when you edit, you can replace or supplement the camera's audio with the recorder's audio. Ours is just an old minidisc player from about ten years ago, but it works! Lighting should also help a lot with grainy video. Anyone else have tips?
