"The virtues possessed by Anglo-Saxons in a higher degree than most other people, were independence and self-reliance, individual initiative and local responsibility, the successful reliance on voluntary activity, noninterference with one's neighbor, respect for custom and tradition, and a healthy suspicion of power and authority." ~ Friedrich Hayek
I think it is impossible for us to teach them anything of Western culture, because mostly they are too ignorant and backwards to see the wisdom in it, the best that can happen is that they would be occupied, their resouces plundered as effieciently as possible or left alone ... and certainly not allowed to immigrate here :-).
this is a subject of great debate over the years.I think it is about imperialism, and the futility of industrialized cultures occupying and trying to administer "civilization" as they know it on other cultures for the profit and gain of a few on the top. After the fall of the Ottoman's there was a power vacuum which needed to be filled, the world is still trying to find its balance. The "Arab Spring" is the latest push towards the re-establishment of an Islamic power structure.
This is an anti-colonial work that describes the futility and senselessness of whites going around the globe and interfering with the affairs of the non-white nations. It could easily be applied to the fruitless, interventionist foreign policies that the Western nations have employed for so long.
