wow your pool looks soo comfortable....i would get in it whether i was giving birth or not. but arent bigger birthing pools more expensive??...or is that just a regular pool?? its hard to tell because of the colorful rim...yet the bottom of it looks pleasing..

What a beautiful baby! I'm envious that I will never get to experience a birth like this -- it seemed very peaceful and intimate, an ideal birth. If you've got diabetes there are almost no doulas or midwives who will agree to a home birth. Sigh!

What a beautiful baby and birth! I also used hypnobirthing for the birth of my daughter and it made a much nicer experience. I gave birth in water too, but I only got into the pool a few seconds before she came out. The whole birth took less than two hours from beginning to the end, so the birth pool wasn't ready until the very end. I hope next time I'll be able to relax in the pool for a while longer, during the surges.
