@oldiesfan55 Like the commenter before, it could shatter the cap because of it's design.. attempt gently, but realize there could be spillage.

I would try to pound all around the area where the cap comes onto contact with the bottle. Or try to use some rubber material between your hand and the cap to persuade it loose..

@omegaabnormal Do you have a concrete slab somewhere? Like ground.. And I wouldn't recommend opening it right after because you just super shook the bottle and it will explode root beet through it all. It takes a lot longer and is annoying, but you can try the hot water trick. You just waste a lot of water and heat tho.. but if you're desperate, then you're desperate. So wait.. are you a hot blonde? ;)

@ACTORDAVIDTRAN Yes . .. I tried a towel before I even started searching the web. That's usually what works for me; grab a nice soft dishtowel from the pantry and it protects my hand and adds to the grip.

@VAMPIREREAL12 You're like younger right? Like 12, 14? Since you're younger you have to hit it harder because you're not as strong as a full sized adult. And make sure it's really straight so all of the top gets a good hit or else it just loosens the seal on one part and the rest of the plastic under the cap is still stuck and won't budge when you turn it. Just try again and focus or else it won't work right.

@VidsMadeWithTheSims Let it thaw. The cold is causing the bottle to contract. Once it gets to a more suitable fluid temperature, the bottle will expand to let you try again. Because yours is a special circumstance, you can try the hot water trick on the frozen cap.

This did not work with a faygo 2 letter the cap I already romoved the seal with a knife and I had to cut open the 2 letter with same knife inorder to even get my drink. Companys like this should be sued, I got 3 blisters on my hand for trying to open their unopenable bottles.

I tried running the cap under hot water, getting some extra grip with a towel, and even turning it with all my brute force, nothing. I tried this, turned it with my hand, nothing. I got a towel for a little extra grip. That sound of pressurized air leaving the bottle made my day.

Even though the glass is thick, you can still micro-fracture glass making it dangerous to use this tap method so I don't recommend the hits. But the rubber glove thing is what I'd do. Or use slip jaw pliers on a worst case scenario.

I think Pepsi makes a weird cap that makes it harder to open. They keep experimenting with different kinds of caps it seems. I think also the size of it makes it hard to hit like that. But try hitting the cap from above with something heavy and solid in reverse and see if that works.

PS you won't lose all the carbonation until you open the bottle. But I would be more worried about losing all the Pepsi from coming out all at once, so open slowly and let the bubbles settle.
