  • even though its a 60's song it reminds me of the fallout series

  • GREAT SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey gaychild. I really do love this. I've been a fan since I was 8 and that was

back in the late 50's. Were you talking to me or the other?

  • @60andhappy I love it, too. No one sang like Connie Francis. No one. Growing up in the 60s, her sound never got old to me.

  • I LUV seeing this on a 78!!! Just imagine purchasing this back then when 45's were all the rage!!!

  • Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Glad you didn't break the record. lol! 78's are so fragile, once it's broken. It's sure gone forever. Many rare recordings, have been destroyed by accidental damage!

  • 8 people DON'T like this? (it figures)

  • thanks for posting yet another of NEIL SADAKA's hits, along with his co writers howard greenfield and former girl friend Carole King .

  • Hi gaychild thanks for sharing best wishes from the uk Chris.

  • Thank-you. I didnt mind the short intro at all, and I did like the vinyl shot while playing. I happened to think of this while planning a short vacation to Studio City, Hollywood. THanks! Now if someone could post her VACATION song.

  • Amazing disc Gaychild

  • I owned the DVD of the movie Where The Boys Are. I just love it. Connie is one of a kind. So far I never heard another female vocalist that sounds like her. The same goes for Doris Day. There were so many great female vocalist in the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s. I rarely listen to music offered today. I am 48 and was just a little kid when my sibblings were playing her music in the 60s.

  • Great song. Thanks for sharing!

  • great song, I envy you for owning this precious item.

Thanks for sharing. I only have the mp3 T^T

  • This song brings me back to growing up in the love and protection of my dear parents and all the innocent friendships I shared and dreams we made. A beautiful stage of life and sweetness.

  • I'm surprised to see Connie Francis on 78rpm. I would have thought she missed the 78 era by about two or three years. Interesting upload :)

  • this is amazing.

  • this is my second most favorite connie tune after lipstick on your collar. has anyone put the movie on youtube yet?

  • I wonder...do you do drag to this 78?

  • I think CJ is his very special man.

  • If you don't like the commentary, then you don't have to watch the video. Did someone have a gun pointed at your head and make you listen? Gaychild, thanks so much for posting this. It's one of my favorite songs and also a favorite movie. My sister and I watch it every year before our annual beach trip. Would love to watch the movie with you.

  • @bongojava21 Thank you! Let's watch it!!

  • And the Pharisies attempting to trap the Savior asked which of the commandmants was the greatest. The Savior percieving their hearts answered " the first is love the Lord thy God with all thy might and the second is like unto it, love thy neighbor as thy self".

  • I thought that WTBA was filmed in 1959. Right ?.....

  • The best Xmas present ever would be a time machine so we could all go back to 1960 and listen to this sort of music as it was released- and enjoy loads of other stuff as well- I was keen on rummaging through garbage cans looking for cigarette packets! Kids don't collect rubbish these days like we did! They want the folding stuff- large denomination bills, too! Computer games- staring at the screen- no time to get out and be a guttersnipe like I was! Nice ladies patting my head like a dog!

  • Thanks for posting. I am a big Connie fan! You have a rare treasure. Her voice is truly amazing! She is one of the greatest singers of all times. She nees to be inducted into the Rock n Roll hall of fame!

  • Lady Di, is that YOU?

  • @gaychild i'm only 26 years old but this does bring me back to my childhood. My mom used to play all these oldies. I used to tease her about it then. but now these songs have become a part of my childhood memories probably just as much as they were of hers. thanx for posting much love~~~ Crimson

  • @gaychild I hope you like the song for the music and because you thought it was going to tell you where you can score.

  • @gaychild something tells me your insincer with these well wishes......now what do you REALLY think?!

  • @1wldnczyguy geez dude you only had to hear him for 38 seconds atleast it wasnt a commercial. Im not gay but who gives a shit.

  • Dedicated to "the boys" us girls would meet on that special street corner in Astoria, Queens... here's to a different time!

  • One of the really "feel-good" movies in my life.

And this song put the icing on that cake.

  • This guy is lucky to have such good recording basically stratch free. America quit producing 78's over 43 years ago.. .. he's got a real treasure on his hands!

Connie Francis was one of a kind.

  • Wow! that 78 sounds great, I remember dropping my fathers 78 heavy bakelite Connie Francis record, I had double chores to do that week.

  • OOOOhhhhhh Fuck me....that was so awesome...!

    Gave me goosebumps!

  • What a hit WHERE THE BOYS ARE Connie Francis song her best eVER Immortalized by that magical voice. ah Cinnie we all love you. this doo wop/rocknroll historian who was there in 1959 and beyonf all thru your sonfs will forever cherish this SONG and others. we love you Connire. TOMK

  • Thanks for posting this! I can't sing a note, but if I could, this is one of the songs I'd belt out! My daughter thinks this song is a hoot (she's only 13, and is boy-crazy, natch ;)

  • WOW I didn't know they were still MAKING 78 RPM Records by the time this song came out - I thought 45's over-shadowed them by this point - what a rare find! THANKS for sharing!

  • 1962 was the last year for 78s. In some countries like India they went on a little longer. There's actually India Beatles 78!!

By the time this one came out hardly any were being sold in USA specially pop music. So this one is pretty hard to get in 78 format.

  • That record would date to 1960, which was the final year for 78's in both the USA and Canada. The same song would be on both 45's and 78's back then, and through the 50's.

  • So fabulous!!! Hope you're doing well! Ken Slavin (in San Antonio)

  • Thank you so much for posting! I'm french and Connie Francis is not well known in France, I discovered her voice thanks to the movie 2046, and now I'm addict to her! I can't spend a single day without listenning something from her!

  • What a haunting and brilliant song!!!!

  • WOW How awesome is that!!! Listened to her as a kid.Love her!

  • I was singing this at 8...and still am lol....LOVE CONNIE.....BTW...the guy introducing this song sounds like Jimmy James.

  • As a pre-teen in the 60's I used to play

my Mom's 78's Those things were so

    heavy and spun like mad.

I recall a needle that had two sides,

one for 45's and 78s and a real fine point for 33's.

Connie was a class act Cheers!

  • I like records better than cds.because i like the hiss of the record.Plus I still laugh when the record turns

  • Hello! I am a collector too. I collect everything Liza Minnelli. I love Connie Francis too. What a find! You have a very nice friend there. Enjoy!

  • gay child thank you for sharing this song on youtube. i grew up listening to her- my italian father loved her voice. and i love her too!

  • Apart from the hissing sounds, this 78 still sounds ok.

  • That is really super rare. I thought 78's were discontinued entirely by 1958, and this is from 1960. What a great find! What's on the flip side?
