I wish I could 'destroy' the blues the way Jimmie does. Stevie once said that Jimmie forgot more blues than he ever knew.

And do you realize the man wrote this song for his brother after SRV was killed? So maybe, just maybe, we can make allowances for a voice choked with emotion - which is what is sounds like at the beginning.

just in case... SRV never sang this tune. in fact, it was written as a rendition to him after his death .. jimmie vaughan wrote this song, you can tell that by listening to the lyrics.. "see the voodoo child holding out his hand. I´ve been waiting on you brother.."
