I've heard that Gagarin was less skillful in comparison with his surroundings who had more experience in it but by a risk of his life he did the first flight to the space and it made him greatest cosmonaut of the world..
He compares his flight 1h40min to theirs and as a fellow cosmonauts jokes that his flight was very short compare to theirs.I understand about 90% of all russian words that i hear here.
