I saw your video-not bad, good improv. Try taking some traditional West African ensemble lessons. You will see that it's a far cry; in the direction of expertise, from what you do on your video.
Sorry, but I desigree with you.Your playing is ok,but nothing special.I heard,i saw many players here on you tube, and one guy impressed me very much. You may say he is not the best, but he is very unique.
i purchased my first djembe about 4 months ago. i have no one to teach me, but i enjoy playing it. it gives me peace. i've never heard a drums sound bad when the player is enjoying the rhythym and finding peace in an otherwise chaotic and stressful world. after reading the comments posted here, i'm not sure i want a teacher.
I know the artists in this video and you are nothing compared to them. If you have the attitude that you are just as good or better than professionals than your musicianship will never improve.
m buying my first djembe tomorrow and my dream is to travel the world playing the djembe and uniting people to celebrate the beautiful dance of the universe everywhere i go!!!!!
I am a very good djempe player and will put out a film about it in the beginning of 2008. I look forward to do it :0) but need some electric equipment(s). This was GOOD. Thank you!
Ugg, I prefer the Malian Djembe drumming over this, simply because how calm Malian drumming is, but this is good when I need to feel an adrenaline rush. o_O
Credit go's to the Drummers and rootsy records and my friend Lee's enthusiasm for Djembe(he forced me to do this!!)I found the clip and downloaded it then uploaded to youtube, then emailed the owner and apologized for not asking his permission! he graciously said I could leave them up, thats the story my end.
Showy displays are cool providing the players are serious and these guys are clearly having a gas!!.....yeah man..hey!!

i don't think its an ego throw down. there are usually people who play accompaniment while the soloist does his/her thing.

there are a lot of players in youtube, but my solo style is unique

You need to stop posting these comments on every video that has a djembe in it...seriously. There's nothing unique about your "soloing".

Yes...I am a professional...I don't just fake playing drums like you.. I play guitar, piano, bass, bongo, congas...and then djembe.
marisabellas 4 years ago
I won't argue with your particular opinion ..as for me I am good...you should post a clip of YOUR SOLOING. then your claim MIGHT BE LEGIT.

Ce groupe ce n'est pas Yelemba c'est wofa.
Leurs cd se trouve facilement. C'est un français qui a monté ce groupe de jeunes percussionniste pour montrer jusqu'ou leur talent allait
