My favorite generation is, um.... 3/4/5! Hoeen has the best Plot and Region, Sinnoh has the coolest Pokemon, and Unova has, well, everything!

My main let down for Gen 5 was the region itself. It was such a boring/easy region... Some of the Pokemon, however, were very good, Krookodile, Galvantula, Chandelure. And the music. And the characters. But... It's aimed at a younger age group now, which annoys me. The only point of Sinnoh I liked was Platinum, Diamond and Pearl were... bad. Platinum's version of the events was so much better. :)

Johto has to be my favourite region, mainly because there are a lot of damn amazing Pokemon in that region, including some of my favourites. Yes, there wasn't a unique enemy team, but it was meant as a sequel to RBY. Hoenn is my second best region, the step from the 16 bit region, to a beautiful 32 bit region (Or whatever bit they were), was really good. Hoenn had better music, but I still love the Johto region, for the Pokemon, and the overall region.

Gen II had a very short main game, but a nice aftergame. The Johto region itself is kinda redundant, though, and the music really gets on your nerves after a while. At least it's not as bad as that boring region named Kanto. Ugh, Kanto is so goddamn overrated.

Hoenn and Unova definitely win it to me, because they have the best Pokémon. Oh, and Hoenn has the best soundtrack by far, while Unova has the best Pokémon designs.

Personally, I like the other generations. A lot of gen. 3 pokemon were very unique, and the plot was definitely a nice refresh from the past two games, which really didn't have that much variation between them.

Gen. 4 didn't have the best pokemon, but the plot was definitely unique, and the concepts behind a lot of the pokemon were pretty cool, IMO.

Gen. 5 is by far the best to me, because it has a great story, amazing music, and well-developed characters. IMO.

@lukethefluke7 I completely disagree with you; I really don't see why so people are so obsessive over Johto. It has nice Pokémon such as Steelix, Lugia and Ho-Oh, but Johto's plotline is so weak... Hoenn has FAR better music and plot (two maniacs who could kill the whole WORLD off) and Unova has by far the best leader of any evil team in Ghetsis and the best Pokémon designs and character development.

You better do some research yourself - start with birds called hoatzins. The chicks do indeed have thumbs, and use them in climbing. Other birds have small digit appendages that are a mixture of thumb and index digit. Just...uh... wanted to throw that in there cause I thought it was cool. :D
