  • Now this is called Propaganda Bush alone is responsible for 84000 innocent childrens death in Iraq and afghanistan.I want him persecuted Sorry not buying bullshit commercial

  • I hv recently uploaded a video where Bush was sending his evil message to Iraqi People Go home and die Its on my channel(front page) No more Deniel Thumbs up if you want to expose Evil George Bush & his henius crimes against humanity & thumb down if you are a sick person

  • Who cares? Congress overturned Bush's veto and the new health care law expands SCHIP until age 26. Now they moved onto coverage for other poor folks: Now that the Republicans gave up on turning Medicare into a voucher-like system now they want over a trillion dollars in cuts to Medicaid which would cause 44 million people to lose coverage yet cutting more taxes for rich people. Idiots...

  • slow fade to single payer.

  • oh what ever!!!

    Obama is the best!!!

President BUSH is like a plant which takes up space in the white house...or used to take up space anyway!!!!

  • i was just diagnosed with testicular cancer...i have AETNA but i'm sure they'll find a way to f*ck me over. our system sucks.

  • where's the "If you're healthy and you know it clap your hands" ad? That should be up on here

  • The girl in glasses is Tara Devon Gallagher from Mad Hot Ballroom, a professional child actress.

It's a strong message on Bush's hypocrisy, but let's be honest here - this was strictly propaganda using an appeal to emotion - kids who are being let down by Bush's greed despite being taught to respect and admire their president.

It would be more meaningful if they got real poor kids who genuinely believe Bush has their best interests in mind, not just child actors insincerely stating as much.

  • The SCHIP posterchild has a family with three cars and two houses.

  • TraitorsUSA, how come you have disabled comments for Harry and Louise return? You jerks have done everything you can to silence me. If anybody wants to see the real results of socialized medicine, watch the youtube video about Marie Mcquhae. You appeal to the dregs of society, who think they will get something for nothing. Do you have the right to take property from others because you need it? That's called theft, and it's a crime. Do you advocate crime?

  • weeird, stuupid, duumb!!!

  • can you say BRAINWASHING!!! the best part is we are paying for it!

  • how come is this brainwashing? open a damn book some day

  • OMG...lol...this is a new low for propaganda!!!

  • Propaganda? this? just another dumb kid on youtube

  • sure he loves kids thats why he gives ther parents of thes kids thousends of tax dollers so he can get on the good side

  • wat the hell!!!! thats nice kids dont talk like that. even if they did our country is in an economic crisis bush is just trying to 'fix it'. And by the way he IS NOT the best president, hes not nice, hes a conservative republican, however some of his decisions are righteous. just manipulatiog children. i agry that its not in the constitution and slavery was Not in the constitution so it should not be brought up! its disgusting; the fucking ignorance in the flesh

  • love kids my f*cking @ss

  • This is extremely misleading. Consider that the government really doesn't create wealth but instead just redistributes it. The statement should thus read...

"George Bush just vetoed stealing the private property from a minority of U.S. citizens to provide health care for a different minority."

  • However the irony of the matter is that the feds aren't! President Bush has vetoed this legislation.

  • Health care is not mentioned in the Constitution, so SCHIP is automatically unconstiutional (illegal). This is not open to discussion, negotiation, or debate.

  • Oh looky here one of those socialist-fearing, by-the-book conservative. Who says laws should not be changed? Slavery was a law. There was no mention of the abolition of slavery in the Constitution up to the 13th Amendment.

So, your argument is flawed, i'm signing the petition:)

  • We should just get rid of government run health care. Is health care in the Constitution? No, it is not. The reason slavery was abolished was by Constitutional amendment. But no amendment to allow for government run health care exists. Again, not open to negotiation or debate. Thanks.

  • Not open to negotiation or debate? What can of democracy do you think we live in?

The Congress has the power to change and make laws, you dufus, that is its role!

  • We need Health care for all Americans not just kids.

No better place to start though.

    Goodbye Republicans :)

  • As in civilized nations

    (Like mine)

  • I would like to know how much did the american government payed to those kids or their families to make this video...

Everyone know that he's a bad president. Never an american president had such a bad reputation in Europe like Bush has.

  • "The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation." Adolph Hitler

Reality check. According to the CDC the majority of smokers live at or below the proverty level. 60% of urban black men smoke. Is it fair to have the poor pay for health care for middle class American children?

  • Drivarmatic: You are assuming our government still operates within the bounds of clauses like "nor shall private property be taken fro public use without just compensation."

The Constitution has become a piece of paper that Hillary, Bush, Edwards and the rest of the authoritarian chronies wipe their asses with.

  • I hate to say you are right

  • He vetoed this bill because it needs to be re-written, taxing cigars and cigarettes is not how to fund this! The proposed bill will add a tax of 3 dollers PER cigar. Cigar smokers will just stop buying cigars. Cigar smoking is a HOBBY not a HABIT.Now we will be putting thousands of people out of work in this country and also in Central and South America. REAL smart thinking there don't you think?

  • Nope. Just an angry smoker.

  • just what do you mean by "angry smoker"??

  • Someone needs to do a commercial where a few ordinary citizens go to a gas station and buy some cigarettes.

On their way out have a S.W.A.T. team surrounding Uncle Sam drop in and demand that each person pay $1.

Have one of them refuse to pay, and they'll be thrown in jail to end the commercial.

  • Left-wing propaganda for the lose. Come on, guys, grow up. Don't use children but then again as Savage says liberalism IS a mental disorder.

  • You keep saying "Healthcare for Kids, Healthcare for Kids!". It is not the taxpayers' responsibilty to pay for your kids healthcare. ESPECIALLY for high income families. If you can afford to buy your kid a new pair of Nikes, you can afford to pay for their health insurance. I can understand healthcare for poor kids, but for rich kids? NOT ON MY DOLLAR. If you want to have kids, consider the responsibility before gettin' jiggy wit it.

  • SCHIP is largely funded on the taxes of cigarettes. So, to cover more people, we all have to smoke more, causing more lung cancer. It's a very dumb idea.

  • Brainwashed Sheep,I don't want more government to tell me where and when I can go to the doctor.

  • if bush cared about children, why would he explode the twin towers killing thousands of mothers and fathers?

PS, if your gonna tell me off, please come up with a better response then "the twin towers were melted down by plains driven by arabs" if you dont know that thats all bull shit by know then you have alot of reserch to do.

  • now*

  • All I will say is you are living in your own little world with all the few other "truthers" out there. You have so little understanding of the world and it shows.

  • no.. i really think you have the wrong impression of me. i dont think i live in my on world because ive made more reaserch about the 911 attack then you can imagine. every element that supports my theory are based on logical and sientific facts. for example, its a fact that steal can't me melted by air plain engens, its a fact that bush lied about finding a paper pasport beside a melted black box (a steal recording device). and theres tons more...

  • i am not trying to judg you in any way but ive noticed that alot of people who stand behind bush and the 911 are peaple who chose to stay ignorant to the truth.

  • A program that would raise already-high taxes on cigarettes. Less government, not more, is the answer.

  • Considering Makiw's first principle of economics, "People face tradeoffs", I wonder how many parents of these 10 million kids fore go getting the kids insurance and instead purchase luxuries, like cable television, high speed internet, etc.

  • Impeachment is not enough! Bush/Cheney & Co. need to be put on trial for WAR CRIMES against the American people and against humanity!

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."

    Theodore Roosevelt

  • How could a true christian not support schip or universal healthcare?

  • What does being a Christian have to do with SCHIP and socialized healthcare? Please explain that one.

  • "Thou shalt not steal". That is how.

  • Simple. Because more government is not the answer. Sometimes, in our efforts to help, we may do more harm than good. Bush is not against SCHIP, he advocated a 5 billion increase. His gripe is against those who want to give 30 billion to an already bloated program, a program that would cover families who do not, by any standard meet the definition of poor, a program that would potentially give illegals even more entitlements.

  • America is messed up.

    Kids vs tax on cigarettes.

Money to wage war is ok, but money for healthcare , for kids is not.

Choosing guns over the safety of our children?

There's just not enough moral in this country...it's sad.

  • Usa needs national health care sistem free for all and funded by a progressive capitals gain tax!

  • This political stunt is going down in flames. No chance of passage. Praise God.

  • I don't think God is on your side! Hope you don't lose your job or better yet they just drop insurance for their employees. I thought God loved everyone and as a God fearing christian I will happily vote for people (democrate) instead of guns and money (Republican). I think God cares more about his people then he does power.

  • Here we go again with these spineless, gutless democrats>>Just like they have been doing, hiding behind the troops while giving Bush more money to facilitate their deaths, they are doing the same thing with these children....Why are the democrats sending children to stand up against a crazy demented dictator? Are these cowards so afraid to stand up against Bush that they now are using kids to do their job for them?...Somebody please shoot me if you ever see me about to vote for a democrat>>>

  • I support SCHIP, but I'm wary of using children in ads like this. That being said, I think we're missing a big point when it comes to cost, as well as hypocrisy. Bush goes on and on about how he's trying to save lives, yet he NEVER takes advantage of the cheapest, easiest ways to do so. Remember Hurricane Katrina, for example? Honestly, sick kids in America would be better off if they'd contracted their illness from a biological terrorist attack. Then, Bush couldn't sign this bill fast enough!

  • what a shitty country, Children are supose to be our future

  • They are our future. What do you mean by that comment?

  • Bush is trying to depoluate the earth like he is told to by the Illuminati, our children are our future so they must be distroyed!

  • WTF?

  • To get college aid for your kid, you have to fill out forms and report ALL your entire financial income and assets, then they make a decision if you deserve aid for college. You can't find work, you must be enrolled for unemployement, and document that you are LOOKING for a job.

Should be the same for health care, PROVE YOU REALLY NEED IT, no freeloaders allowed like the ones that the Dems are putting on display.

  • There is lots wrong with government run health care. The Democrats have just made all kinds of noise about the VA hospitals and the poor treatment of veterans. Who do you think runs those hospitals, the American Legion?

  • Ummmm, hello? The problems at Walter Reed stemmed from when the administration PRIVATIZED support services over there and cut costs.

  • 77 percent of 10 million kids listed already have insurance. Takes them off of good private medicine to stupid government-run medicine.

  • There is nothing wrong with government run health care .... your being snow balled just like everyone else in this country by the BIG drug companies and the BIG insurance industry ..... managed care is a failure in this country.... FAILURE... not one American should be without healh care... NOT ONE

  • Funky --You paying? If not, STFU.

  • Well, except for the truly needy, people have access to the best healthcare in the world right here in the USA.

  • If you look into it that stupid run goverment program for kids is the best thing out their. You don't have to choose a doctor, you don't have ANY worries and everything is covered 100%. I bet you can't say your insurance does that. Heck, my insurance wouldn't cover physical therepy after a stroke. Which would you choose and why should only the poor get this great service? I think my family deserves the same coverage!

  • Yep, He cares for nobody but his big, fat, wallet. The rich are getting richer and they aint trickling down anything for them poor folks. Thank god I live abroad-you guys can deal with him!

  • I'm glad you live abroad as well.

  • how dishonest.

  • Bush, being a sociopath, obviously coudn't care less about kids. It is not Bush that bothers me so much as all of the assholes that voted for him in 2004. What the hell did you morons expect?

  • learn the FACTS about the veto before you spout off.

  • Spending on war is more important than children's healthcare. We have millions of kids, but only 1 war.

  • Amazing what this kid has been told NOT to say. Bush supported expanding the system, not abolishing it as we are led to believe. The fact that it would cover "Kids" up to 25 years old and families making $83K/yr deserved to be vetoed.

  • Bush is an evil liar

    Impeach him now

  • Ah, look at the little tax sucker. Getting his grimy teeth into the few dollars coming in as is. AHHHHH!

  • America's future - addicted to socialism.

Look - I am a father of 1 making 30k as a school teacher with a wife that works 10 hrs a week of a part-time job. I have private health insurance for my kids that is actually CHEAPER than the insurance provided by my job. I pay a $200 a month premium for both of them with cancer coverage. My hint - buy your car used and don't buy that Iphone. You can pay for your kids health insurance.

  • exactly, life is about grown up choices. Those that make $80,000/year and feel their neighbors should pay for their health insurance need to start making some grown up decisions.

  • This $80,000 figure is propaganda. It is a separate waiver for NY state due to it's higher cost of living.

  • funkor: "This $80,000 figure is propaganda. It is a separate waiver for NY state due to it's higher cost of living.'

    --

Gee. I hope it's NOT a statewide waiver for ALL of NY State.

Please tell me the folks in Utica won't get the waiver!

Utica, NY's cost of living index is a mere 88, pretty well below the national average of 100.

  • Liberals do this because they can't support their own arguments with facts, so they take the emotional route. The fact is, Bush supports health insurance for kids. He vetoed the bill because liberals like Hillary want the care these kids recieve to be government-run. That would mean a horrible tax raise TO EVERYONE, including those adults who can't afford their own healthcare already. It seems we're taking the problem off of one group, and sticking them on another.

  • Yes. A tax raise. ON CIGARETTES. Crazy idea, isn't it? Raise taxes on packs of cigarettes to help poor, sick kids. Whatever were they thinking... paying for one health related initiative by taxing something that kills people.

  • you do realize "crazy idea" of raising taxes on a product such as cigarettes will force more people to quit smoking (a good thing), thereby lowering the income revenue you are seeking. When the tax revenue goes away, what are you proposing to tax next? Just curious.

  • Crazy, yup. Do you realize how many more people would have to START smoking to fund this retarded expansion?

  • this program isnt supposed to depend of smokers. The high tax on cigarettes is just supposed to DISCOURAGE people from smoking and discourage kids from ever starting in the first place!

  • This is a terribly low-blow. Why must liberals always use spokesmen that we can't speak out against? Like Michael J. Fox, the Sept. 11th widows, and now these children. If we dont agree with them, or speak out to refute their point, we look like monsters.

  • Because conservatism is the force that has diverted funding from Parkinsons research, reparations to September 11 families, and children's health care to fund this stupid war! Conservatives ARE monsters!

  • That's liberals for you...it's about feeling good. Truth, consequences, data, economics, logic, common sense be damned as long as it feels good. It's like conscience off-sets.

  • You are totally looking at this from an odd, propagandized angle. Yes, this legislation is feel good and stupidly political. However there is nothing fiscally irresponsible about it. What is fiscally irresponsible is an Iraq war that uses this $35 billion in a single month. Every month. For the past 4 years. Hello? Who are you listening to?

  • I'd rather spend money on kids and pork projects than on an unwinnable disastrous war, subsidizing corporations and terrorist states, and Faith-Based Organizations of any religious stripe.

  • Sentimental sarcasm. Is this a new liberal technique? Or is this just how low you all have sunk? Next to attacking radio personalities and taking quotes completely out of context, of course.

  • My question is if Rush was taken out of context, then why did he have to edit his transcript? That makes it seem he was hiding something. The fact is that he is so knee-jerk reactionary when it comes to smearing his political opponents that it isn't surprising when he used a metaphor of a suicide bomber to describe Brian McGough. Don't even try to deny it. Read his words. It's offensive enough, but the fact that McGough was WOUNDED BY A SUICIDE BOMBER makes it even more galling.

  • Please quit picking on tidbits. Rush supports the troops and the troops know it. Rush's recent Ebay auction of the Senate smear letter raised over $2 million, which Rush matched, to benefit our troops. Proof is in actions.

  • knytrydr73 : that phrase "more wealthy" is relative you moron! Guess what you idiot, that bill was meant to cover children from families who make too much to receive healthcare (via Medicaid) but make wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too little to actually afford private health insurance. People like you are the reason why people like him are elected to office...misinformed idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • A President, once elected, gets free health care for life, so I take exception with his assertion that federalizing health care is a mistake. If thats the case, then he needs to lose his.

  • Presidents don't get "free" health care for life. It is one of the benefits and it is funded by the employer, us.

And how could you possibly defend stealing/taxing the private property of smokers and spending it on anyone other than those same people when the 5th Amendment clearly states, "nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."

  • It was only New York that tried to do that.

  • Some of these folks have missed the irony and sarcasm, I haven't. Well done. Please view searchword wilburjr-thanks.

  • Indoctrination at it's best. "George Bush is a really nice...umm line.... oh man."

  • The sad thing is look how these kids are brainwashed just like adults into believing that their president cares about them or any U.S. citizen.

  • Watch it again, don't you get it?

  • all lies

  • he LOVES kids. lol

  • SCHIP is an American success story—helping millions of uninsured kids get the care they need when they're sick, while saving money by reducing emergency room visits. The White House has said that SCHIP is too expensive. The President evidently believes that providing health care for America's children isn't worth the expense.

  • medicalex: If you care, then you can donate.

Think about how much the federal government abuses our freedom of association. You can no longer voluntarily enter into an agreement with a distributor to exchange cash for cigarettes without the federal government stealing some of your private property.

  • Hey btester I'm a New Yorker and I also work you schmuck and i make considerably more than your measly 70k and I pay for my own insurance the difference is I give ashit about America's kids having health care you A-Hole. ..

  • President Bush, your American President is the best President you will have during your ifetime. Perhaps, you will do something in your life to meet him. He does not like short term solutions to long term problems like wasting money and taking away your freedom to choose your doctor and healthcare options.

  • He does not like short term solutions to long term problems like wasting money. 9.2 trillion dollars in debt and an off the books war, the man spent more money than 42 presidents combined, yet taking care of children is wasting money, hmmmmmm? Ever hear of Custer Battles or Blackwater?

  • Well put. Yes it's official. George Bush has now become a cartoon character. He can barely string a sentence together but he can say "Veto". How can you possibly justify this one? The man decides against a children's health care bill in favor of a cheaper tobacco tax. Amazing. Will there ever come a point when people get tired of defending this? The man in a laughing stock.

  • ....uhhhh....the best????

  • who the hell taught these kids George bush is a good president?

  • bush biggest terrorist in history..killing innocent kids for oil(or americans don't care coz those kids aren't americans..but kids are kids anywhere..)

  • Dispicable.

  • This is garbage...Brain washing kids to get them to say what you want them to say. Or I could be wrong, I'm sure these kids know all about Bush and Health Care.

  • Maybe they're tyring to win his sympathy so he can take back his veto =O

  • This is garbage...I wonder how many of the '10 Million' kids are illegals, paying no taxes?

  • so if there not American, they deserve to die?

  • Bush hates kids? Eh, me too.

  • Bush just this week asked for $190 billion to fund Iraq and Afghanistan for only a few more months (a situation making American MUCH less safe), THEN he vetoes the SCHIP bill, which would have cost $7 billion to aid American children. Republicans aren't just monumentally stupid, they'd rather America faced 10 more 9/11's than to do something GOOD that HELPS America! Heckuva job, wingnuts!

  • Here is the mainstream republican ideology. If the dems ask for health insurance for 10,000,000 children by taxing tobacco, they become "socialists" but if Bush spends 2 billion-a-week to destroy humanity, republicans are seen as "patriotic" Go figure?

  • Damn

  • I'm sitting here trying to think of how warped you have to be to actually reject health care .... for children .... when you spend a crap load on a war in another country. I can just imagine some poor family finding out their kid has some life threatening condition that requires treatment, and they will be unable to afford it, and that just breaks my heart.

  • I'm just sitting here thinking how could a plan that is supposed to be for children can give healthcare to people in their twenties with no kids. This isn't about healthcare for kids, this is another government beaucracy that is another step towards socialized medicene.

  • I'm just sitting here trying to figure out why would anyone comment on a subject they have only the facts that are fed to them. How could anyone be that stupid and yet here you are.

  • Aren't his veto tantrums wonderful? It was either war, health, or military draft. How else do you think he's going to force Congress to make your children's children pay for war and bankrupt the United States? It's been the plan of the International Bankers for years.

  • Aren't there legitimate funding issues with this SCHIP expansion? Using a cigarette tax to fund it is counterproductive because the gov't would need more people to smoke. But in reality a tax on cigarettes would reduce the number of smokers causing a reduction in SCHIP funding.

  • No, the reality is that if the number of smokers went down, SCHIP would require less funding because there would be fewer instances of smoking-related illnesses.

  • But the kids SCHIP is aimed at don't smoke.

  • Do you even know what you're talking about?

  • great video...oh and he is making this country better...

  • That whats great about this president. For the wars, spend billions, for US kids, Veto the bill. You people just don't get it. In wars he gets his commision from Cheney and Cheney gets it from Halliburton + what ever other companies(especially oil companies) that benefit from the war. Healthcare for kids, that doesn't benefit the republicans in anyway.

  • I lived in NY... married, only one who worked, and made LESS than 70K... I had my own insurance... THANK YOU FOR VETOing the bill... IT IS WANTS VS NEEDS PEOPLE! CAN'T AFFORD INSURANCE, CANCELL YOUR CABLE, YOUR CELL PHONE, EAT OUT LESS, EAT BREAKFAST AT HOME INSTEAD OF AT McCrappo's....

OR JUST ASK THE GOVERNMENT TO PROVIDE EVERYTHING AND TAKE NO PERSONAL RESPONSABILITY YOURSELF... .

  • I don't believe you

  • Dumb NYers. They think they know it all

  • Actually, I think a meal at McCrappo's is cheaper than a breakfast at home. However, I see where you're trying to get at. It's true...we don't NEED any of these things, we're just being superficial. I believe that unless you're unemployed and live with your 80 year old mother, you'll be able to manage. Yet...we're all adults here. What about the children? Can they really manage?

  • Ron Paul 2008, that's why you should vote for him.

  • Leave Bush alone!!! What did he ever do to you?!??! Leave BUSH alone!!! I mean it.

  • Lol I think that only works on Britney Spears, nice attempt though.

  • they made those kids say that..grrrr

  • Tallacus, haha please.

  • WHAT a CROCK!!!

The only person our Liar-in-Chief cares about is the person who can line his pockets, and sneak him into the Oval Office.

He is CERTAINLY the worst President within memory, and I would think in the last 200-some years. My opinion is that facts show him to be one of the shadiest and biggest crooks ever to end up in the Oval Office --- which I doubt was legally effected.

What a rotten excuse for a Leader of Our Country. And what an embarassment.

  • he lovvvvvvvves kides...........uhhhhh uhhhhhhhhh

  • Wow! People, whether children or adults, can actually say these things about Bush? If all that wasn't scripted then it truly represents the triumph of spin over reality.

  • why don't those kids get jobs so they can afford health insurance? this is what happens when you have strict child-labor laws.

Vote Republican - and get those freeloading kids back to work

  • Omg god I hate bush he is a very bad person the kids where made to say that

  • well that is really unconsinsing bush is gone by next election and no matter what some better is comeing in unless some rubublicen wing nut comes in and takes the job.

  • Yea I love Bush, even though he is sending us to die without proper covering us medical, without the support of allies because they hate us. Isn't he the best!! I mean, gosh, he darn near does nothing to help the american people and feeds us right into the palms of our enemies!!!Yaya!! At least he is fair, he treats children, just like he treated those in Katrina and just as he continues to push for a war in vein. One of the best ever, right? .... <.<

  • Boy are these kids going to wonder "what was I thinking" when they get a little older.

  • Emotional argument. What a bunch of crap.

  • Reality: the bill vetoed would not have increased the amount of children covered who could not afford insurance. It would have just given coverage to the upper middle class, those who can afford it already. This is a subject that is in no way related to the Iraq war, or any other war so it is not fair to the children to change the subject. The bill needs to extend coverage to more of the poor children, not open up coverage to those who can afford to buy their children cars before they are 16.

  • No, they understand how great the Office of Presidency is. They are attributing to George W. Bush the way they view the U.S. Presidency. They don't know much of anything that Bush has done.

  • You're pretty clueless

  • sarcasm I hope

  • rofl! health insurance in USA! thats funny!

  • lol great comment!!!

  • Bush loves kids. Hell, everybody loves kids. It's just that Bush loves insurance companies more than he loves kids.

  • Let's get our facts straight about this program that, up until now, covered 6 million kids.

1.The cost of covering 10 million kids for five years is less than the cost of the Iraq War for seven months.

2.The bill actually makes it harder, not easier, for states to expand the program to higher-income families.

3.If their parents could get—and could afford—private insurance, these kids would already have coverage.

  • for someone that wants to get the facts straight, you sure conveniently leave out a lot of facts.

*Bush planned to expand the system, not eliminate it. Just not to 25 year olds making $83K/yr

*the plan is a backdoor to Socialized Medicine to get people off of their insurance plans and become dependent on the Govt.

  • What is he thinking? Our children have to be super healthy in order to work the 110 hours per week to pay for baby boomer's health care costs.

    Sheesh.

  • bush the biggest terrorist in history.....(killing innocent kids for oil...) someone was asking what did he do to america.i see he made other countries hating us

  • You guys don't get it. Big Pharma is already regulated by the FDA and gov't. The drug companies promise jobs to politicians after they are out of office. Corruption is what is killing our kids, not a lack of free money. Universal health care will be the deathnell for freedom of choice period. Instead of relying on free gov't sick care, how about eating better and preventing disease?

  • Love the fetus, hate the child.

  • laugh at the libs

  • I suggest a House Resolution to

    bomb "Kid Nation."

I guess when no one else will step up for you,

nothing like getting glowing endorsements from clueless fifth graders.

    Wow...this spot is embarrassing.

  • that was scary

  • The new SCHIP would allow the states to expand the program to cover..

    1. People up to 25 years old (not a child)

    2. Families earning up to 82,400 (not low income)

    3. Illegal aliens.

The states can expand the program without this bill. They have taxing and budgetary authority. But they want the feds to spend the money, so they don't have to face their voters. Most states have balanced budget requirements, but the feds can just keep spending us into debt.

    Good job on the veto.

  • funny, now that you put it that way... I still think it was a mistake to veto the bill. You sound as ignorant as bush. $82,000 might not be low-income to YOU. My husband and I earn about $70,000 combined and it is very difficult to pay for health insurance and live in California with the housing market and gas situation. You just don't make a good case.

  • Waa! Here's a thought. If you can't afford it in California, then a. do with out it (it's not a constitutional right) or b. MOVE

Liberals... always wanting a hand out no matter how much money they make.

  • I have to agree with SchlepRock - I make 83K in KANSAS, and I can afford a decent car payment, 1500 sqft house, cable, and medical/dental/vision.

If you can't afford where you live, then live where you can afford. Otherwise, stfu and go get a better job. You gotta love the free market!

  • Where do the people who make less than $20K a year live?

  • 1. Parents are more likely to sign their children up for coverage if they can obtain coverage for themselves at the same time

    2. Only one state offers eligibility up to four times the federal poverty level (FPL), and that is because New York has an extremely high cost of living

    3. Illegal aliens still can't enroll in it

The idea that states have untapped coffers of discretionary spending dollars is pure fantasy
