  • hey, you're cool and your lessons are fun, i like the loose format

  • Beautifully Done.... Two Thumbs Waaay Up for the lesson 8-) LM

  • After you reach up to the 4th, 5th and 7th frets on the 1st string, and play an A, doesn't Paul play a quick few strums in-between changing over on the 5th fret? I've just added that in myself because it sounds more similar to the song - but is this correct?

  • This is a great video, thank you for posting.

By the way, "Junk," and "Singalong Junk" definitely have different musical backings. I'd recommend having another listen to these songs as they are quite brilliant!

  • thanks this helped alot :)

  • Thank you!! Awesome!!

  • I wouldn't even say 5% of the people on YouTube have as gifted of a musical ear as you do. Great demonstration, sounds just about perfect.

  • YES! Thanks man!

  • Hi! I just wanted to say thanks for all your videos and teaching lessons! I've learned Mother Natures son, and the rain solo part .. And now I have just started learning Junk! It is really amazing because I never took lessons, and I have started playng the guitar only a year ago...!!! You are a great teacher!! Sorry for my bad english, I'm brazilian!!!

    Keep doing these amazing videos!!!

  • hi privett, just studied the Junk lesson and it is great, thanks, I hope that you do more beatle and solo beatle songs w/ the detailed explanations like Junk had....can't quite figure out the chords on "All things must Pass" or "bluebird oh yes "Bluebird" too, Hope I'm not asking for much, lol, thanks for your time and your lessons....great job

  • Thank you very much for sharing this with us .. cant waitr to do some of the others now and it seems as if you have homed in the gorgeous early Paul tunes .. wonder if I will is in there somewhere ?

  • hell with that 5150 (ha ha) I like that J-200, George would be very proud!

  • This was good, up until you leaned sideways at the ending part and drove me nuts trying to figure out what you were doing with your fretboard hidden from view. Other than that, great job.

  • This is a fabulous lesson; thanks a million. None of the realms of tabs I printed out beforehand were of any use whatsoever. But thanks to you I've jow learnt Junk and cannot wait to start on your equally brilliant interrpretation of Mother Nature's Son.

You are a born teacher and I especially appreciate the way in which you slow everything right down when it gets a little complicated. To be able to teach in this way is a rare gift. I wish I could buy you a beer! Oh and lovely guitar!

  • This is great. Now I am going really test you. Can you give us a lesson on how to play Heather by the Beatles. Now that would be cool :) You can LISTEN to it on Youtube. Maybe you can work out how to play it? Its a lovely tune.

  • hey bro I really appreciate the lessons Ive been teaching myself guitar for a solid 9mo. hours everyday my girlfriend is sooo pissed, anyway I really getting the hang of it. I love the Theory behind it all its like MAGIC! but I really like how you play and Ive seen alot of people play..I love McCartney's old stuff from Venus & Mars, ahhh classic stuff.. That Gretsch you own is that 5120? thats what I got! do you like it?

  • @bbatta22 Yes, it's a 5120 and I really love it. One of the best imports I've ever played. Tuners could hold better, but that doesn't bother me -- just makes it sound more rock n' roll.

    Good luck with your picking!

  • You are a ROCK STAR. Period!

  • @IdolHans No. But I was once.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video. And I mean thank you SO much. I tried learning it on my own with the chords and stuff, it didn't work out so well... But with your video, I just got the gist of the whole song in about 20 minutes :D So thank you very much again and I appreciate you helping other guitar players with songs :)

  • @SoulbondAzn That's a good challenge -- pick a song you don't know how to play and learn it in 20 minutes. You'll be surprised how many you're able to learn in that time. 20 years ago, I wanted to learn Blackbird in 10 minutes, and I had it in 8 minutes. The clock is a good motivator.

  • @privettricker Holy... How long have you been playing guitar now? O_O; This is going to be my 10th~11th month playing the guitar now
