This song is amazing, I know the chorus off-by-heart and it has come in useful!! However you have to remember that the commonwealth comes between charles one and two and lady Jane grey was technically a queen even if it was for 9 days but Matilda was an empress so she doesn't !!

If Harold had of stayed alive an hour or so longer then darkness would have brought an end to the combat meaning William would have had to retreat until morning. During that time Harolds army would have been reinforced.

That battle could have easily gone the other way for the Normans.
