There were no horses in America after the end of the ice age, until the arrival of Europeans after Columbus. DNA studies of horses are supporting the historical and archaeological record. One example of the peer reviewed professional journal studies is "Iberian Origins of New World Horse Breeds" in the Oxford Journals, vol 97, issue 2, pp 107 - 113.

Claims that horses have been proven to be in America before Columbus are without merit. No professional journal of science supports those claims.

LDS members who watch this video need to know that the statement of a horse in the upper Midwest at the time of Christ is wrong. The horse skull had been identified in 1964 as a hoax. Radiocarbon dating of the skull was published in 2004. It dated to the time of the hoax, not the time of Christ. The video was made after 2004, after the facts about that horse skull had been published. The video mention of a horse in the upper Midwest is in reference to a known hoax.

Science is never a "done deal" There have been thousands of horse remains in america, however none dated are pre-Columbian to 10,000 bfp. Strata, especially in caves is easily disinterred due to animal behaviors and caves being a natural shelter for animal. But look it's not just horses or elephants, its, swords, armor, cattle, domestic sheep, the geography, the battlefields, the cultures, the religious remains there is little to nothing. Don't give up, but be realistic about what you find.

Horses as we know them today were introduced to the New World by the Spanish. The only horses that were ever native to the New World were tiny, 3 and 4 toed horses. You can't really pull a chariot with a horse the size of a dog.

The BOM did not speak of tons of horses in the Americas, but did mention them. There were a lot more humans than horses, but still only find a remnant of bones, and they are generally easier to find because they are in burial grounds. Horses are only found if they died in an area where we would expect to find ruins, which is where you wouldn't find animal bones. Archaeologists don't just dig anywere. So if we were to dig in random spots, I am sure we'd find more.

After searching for over a century there is still no compelling evidence for The Exodus, the great flood, or virtually anything in the book of Genesis.
