  • plz what is the name song 37

  • @a12gz trouble man is the song

  • What is this a clip from?

  • @rerone It's a documentary on Marvin called 'What's Going On" (I think). Just type in "Marvin Gaye documentary" and it should come up. It's very well done.

  • It looked like it was honey he was drinking. It was thick. Singers drink it to soothe their throats.

  • does anybody know wat was the drug the girl gave him??

  • @fulquest i heard extacy was out then under the name of the love drug or lsd. he was the man though regardless. people do shit . i got my own shit to account for before i ridicule a man who was richer than me and lived his life to the fullest. respect to marvin

  • @abyss1ner I hope I clarified it. The girl giving him ice water was his baby sister Zeola. She often joined him on the road and served as his confidant, etc.

  • @fulquest That was not a drug and that was not just a girl. That was his sister, Zeola giving him ice water.

  • Here My Dear was like the 808s an Heartbreak of its day...

  • whats the song at 1:51

  • @mannehh anna's song is what its called

  • here, my dear" is the greatest album ever recorded. it is so sopisticated that most people can not comprehend or discern the greatness of it. it was beautiful but yet really dark and problematic, one guy here says he laughed and calls it comical. this is because he can not recognize great art and does not understand any music that is noncommercial unlike as people as myself and david ritz.

  • @bgshort99 And Like me..I loved "Here My Dear" I discovered it a Year after Marvin passed away back in 1985 I know every lyric backward and forwards..Great Album..Even Greater because it wasn't Commercial..a subliming insight on a Man struggles in Life ..a trip into the mind who was an Addict..but had it in control when he opened up creatively..Marvin was a Genius..he knew it,he knew nobody can do it better.Thats Why this album is a testament to his Genius and Legacy. Marvin Forever! R.I.P.

  • @bgshort99 - I think the guy thought the situation, and not the song, was comical because he was aware that it was motivated by a desire for vengeance and not artistry. He knew MG personally, so likely knew about the divorce. Clearly, MG performed the project begrudgingly, but decided that if he had to do it, he would put the subject of the song on blast, while at it. That he would create a project intended to fail, just so he could stick it to his ex-wife, could be considered "funny".

  • WTF is Mos Def doing here?

  • @TempeSoldier123 MOS DEF IS THERE BECAUSE HIS MUSIC ALSO IS EVOCATIVE AND YOU CAN HEAR THAT HE LOVES MARVIN

  • @TempeSoldier123 Talking.

  • This is very interesting. Was this on a broadcast channel at some point?

  • Yes it was. It will most likely never be shown again. Type bertmarx in the search field on this site. The brother has the entire program broken down into clips.

I have some footage that did not make the broadcast and will be posting more shortly!

  • @brotherfugue thank you!

  • @brotherfugue thank you!

  • @brotherfugue Thanks, I'll do that. Noe for a general comment...that note that Marvin hits in "Anna's Song" may be my favorite from him. So many to choose from. There's a lot in "Everybody Needs Love" , "Let's Get It On", "Keep Gettin It On" etc....

  • @KrfNYC2 I Want You is my favorite song period. Even when I don't listen to it, I hear it!

  • @brotherfugue I feel you. My favorite Marvin Song is "Everybody Needs Love". My favorite song period is probablt "Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Simon and Garfunkel.

  • @brotherfugue Yeah. I revoke my previous comments. Most of Marvin's career consisted of evocative, incredible overall musicianship. I'm not even going to bother talking about my favorite this and thats. I'll just say that my favorite is Marvin. Peace.

  • @brotherfugue thank you for the info. i really enjoyed watching this doc.
