  • Sorry all the haters, but he's already mounted the crystal using the force. I'd say he's just tweaking the sensitivity on the activation switch... Am I a geek or what? ..it's better than no seen I guess....

  • That was cool. Thanks for splicing the scenes together. Wish Georgie did it in the blu ray....

  • this was total crap. i was expecting to see him assembling it as a proper jedi knight would be....in meditation....AS THE COMPONENTS CONVERGE WITH THE FORCE....not this hand tool bullsht with a hurried feel. the assembly should have taken twice as long as it did with a very serene feel mixed with intense concentration. im so glad i never decided to get the blue ray edition. i applaud your efforts in merging it to where it should be in the stream of time though. thumbs up mate.

  • @apachedrifter look up "Jedi Building a Lightsaber in SWTOR". THIS is how it should have been done, but in the cave not a saber forge. george....you seriously fkd up on this one.

  • The deleted scene has NOT been re-integrated into the film for the Blu-ray, rather it's a stand-alone extra. Shame.

  • Wait what's so good about that? It's luke looking at his lighsabre???

  • There is another deleted scene where Vader goes to the bathroom.

  • Curse that fuckwit at 2:35 who decides to scream like a twat for no other reason but the fact we just saw Luke's Lightsabre.

  • awesome love it, I just hope that lightsabre in cave scene is a genuine deleted scene from 82/83 and not something that was recently filmed.

  • @musicforindies Nah, you can tell that is Hamill's face back then :D

  • @Jamiethewookie I don't know that cleft chin looks too pronounced, like they had to really emphasize it to convince us it's hamill, doesn't look right, hope I'm wrong and it's an old scene eitherway can't wait to see Jedi again, it gets alot of bad press but as a kid in 83 sitting in a wellington, new zealand cinema with my dad and grandad I had the time of my life, holds a special place in my heart, I even liked the ewok dubdub song :)

  • why would they delete this awesome scene?

  • @MarekUtd The easy answer is that your wrong, it sucked. The more nuanced answer is that it doesn't move the story along and makes the reveals of Luke entering Jabba's palace and Artoo's lightsaber launch more interesting.

  • @Wikigoogtube actually, i totally agree with you. it's a neat extra or deleted scene but it doesn't belong in the actual movie. one more example of Lucass dicking up a great movie.

  • @Wikigoogtube i wouldn't say i was wrong but then again whatever George wants is good enough for me :)

  • @MarekUtd MarekUtd is right it probably does slow the pace down, but very strange it hasn't surfaced until now I can't see why it wouldn't have been on the 97 special editions, I think it's new, I think it was shot in 82/83 but maybe that version didn't survive or maybe didn't work and this is a reshoot.

  • I just read about this some time ago, really thought we would see him like putting his new lightsaber together piece by piece or show him half done putting it together =/

  • If you are wondering why this guy is excited enough to yell "yeah!" let me explain it to your pre-pubescent ass: Original fans have known about this scene for over 20 years. It appeared in the ROTJ radio drama and has been talked about for decades. To finally see Luca$ unclenched his fist from the master copy is a miracle as he had long said he would never release this scene. Now, if that cock would only do the same for the scenes with Biggs in ANH.

  • @gaozhi2007 Doesn't explain why he's on blow though.

  • the funniest thing about this, is that faggot yelling, "YEAH" LOL!!

  • I just hope lucas doesnt do too much damage to the old trilogy... the new trilogy was just bad and looked so fake. I would have killed for less CGI and more real sets..

  • This is such BS. Im not buying this as 'old' footage. For one thing, they specifically banned David Prowse from this- which was sleezy in the first place. Which can only mean that this vader chamber scenes is NOT him. And the audio can be both of old redone recording mixed in with a few unheard lines. The LUUUKE line for example doesnt sound like JEJ at least not in this clip. So Im thinking this is just another way of lucas fruading the fans.

  • @zephonlucifer I agree as much as I want this to be new that cleft chin is way too pronounced, the rest of the face is in shadows except for that plastic looking botoxed cleft, I'm sure it will be a cool scene though in the final edit.

I don't think Lucasfilm has been sleazy to Prowse, sometimes our heroes in life turn out to be total fools, he's got a big mouth he's his own worst enemy burnt his bridges too many times.

  • I think Steve Perry knew this scene was missing in the release version of ROTJ, so he wrote it into Shadows Of The Empire - the story in between films 5 & 6

  • Good one brother, fits in nice, played this scene a million times in my own head at least you were on the forefront, can't wait to see it for real, man does Luke look like the emperor.

  • Fail: You needed to edit the audio out. Try Again!

  • Full screen?

  • why was this scene taken from the final cut. it ties in nicely when luke turns himself in to vader and talks on the bridge that he has constructed his own lightsaber. this needs to be included in the feature film on blu-ray or something. epic!

  • @rockyremaker It is going to be on the Blu-ray. That's what this whole event was about. However, your reason for why it should be in the movie is flawed. Since Vader does speak about him creating his own lightsaber in the movie already, it makes this scene redundant, just like the Jabba scene being put back into the SE version of A New Hope.

  • wish i could get that fired up over deleted scenes

  • They should have kept that scene in the film .

  • @godstomper -- Not with that dialogue though. "Luke... Luke...".

  • @lookbacktime

Ya but you need that "Luke" line so the audience knows he's telepathetically hearing his name being called.

  • @godstomper -- Yes, but i's not quality dialogue. Unless the prequel dialogue is someone's idea of good writing.

  • @lookbacktime But its Return of ... Jedi dialogue so its forgiveable.

    Prequel dialogue isn't so good.

  • @lookbacktime the telepathic force sense luke got in ESB and he has it in ROTJ....COOL!!!!
