JMJ Has Huge shoes to fill(he is beyond Genius IMO), I played around with "Equinoxe 4" many times, so I know it isn't easy to interpret his works.

The original is just that, the original. If I heard this at a club, it would make my night! All and all kudos, I think you did a great job!

Recognition of piece is mainly in the melody. One can play bass line & throw another melody on it & no one will think it is E. The only music form that has a MUST in it is Fugue as you can't take any of its components out since it is interlocked. JMJ always plays his own piece no matter of how many changes & I am not aware if he has rules about it. So if he has not played without "mesmerizing glide" doesn't change what i said about this piece.

JMJ could "suit" this remix, based on melody recog.

I doubt the word charm and remix can be used in the same paragraph. As long as anyone can recognize the melody then it is Equinoxe. I think it is a good remix for rave people & dance. Also I doubt JMJ even would go with your Equinoxe rule as he has often changed it in his concerts.
