I'm sorry but what the hell are they on about? I'm guessing they are talking about the single turbo straight-six T6 engine? Never heard about a twin-turbo V6 in a Volvo.

My granddad just sold his V8 XC90, which was a great car, it will be missed.

Sins 7 years my dad has Volvo yo have to have a volvo to know it you no and its not smaller than the x5 !!

my dad has a 2007 X5 3.0si it has 260hp and it is NOT underpowered. Before it we had a xc90, i think the xc90 was smaller and the x5 has alot more toys like better satnav, parking camera and panorama roof. BMW rules xc 90

Don't really like the Volvo. They are in diff categories Volvo compete with Acura, BMW with Porsche and Mercedes. Cause IMHO it's senseless to compare the BMW base to the Volvo fully loaded. For a fair comparison it should be the 4.4 BMW vs the fully loaded xc90. But then the BMW would be a lot more expensive and so a senseful comparison should be bwtween the Benz and BMW.

Do you know what a VW Touareg is?

It's a luxury SUV, about the same price as the X5, Q7 and only slightly cheaper than the Cayenne. It shares many of the same parts as the Q7, including the engine.

Infact, the Q7 is basically based off the Touareg architecture.

The reviews of these cars by professionals usually compare the X5, Q7, Cayenne and Touareg together.

@cuiter23 Volvo does compete with BMW, and Merc, and Audi. Just not with the sport models like the RS4 or M5 or something. BMW can't compete with Porsche, it's just too slow, not that it's a bad car or anything. But the XC90 has a 4.4 liter V8 too, and can you get a fridge in an X5? No, so see they do compete.
