can u shoot 37mm 00buckshot with the HAVOC.... the reason i ask is because i saw some vids of people doing that but i thought it was only designed to shoot flares..
@rake2002 You most likely can, but probably not at high velocity. You will also need to register your launcher as a Destructive Device (class 3)! Even less-leathel loads can only be fired from launchers registered as Destructive Devices.
the reason why they dont produce 40mm flare guns and flares is because ppl would start using 40mm grenades on them, like a grenade launcher if you will... now flares guns are not design to handle the pressure of the burning gases of the grenade and thus leading it to explode taking with it your hands.
wonder if those dragonsbreath rounds would work in the 12 GA adaptor. if u dont kno about them they are diversionary 12 GA rounds that just spout flame to distract people. that would be pretty sweet
hi im about to build my first ar and i like how yall have yours setup. i would like to build mine similar to yours minus the havok. could you tell me what handgaurd, grips, uppers, gasblock and stock you use. thank you
@strykerfan I am fairly certain you cant even shoot the non lethal stuff like 12 gauge beanbags and rubber ball ammo. Just gas, smoke, flares, and bird scare loads. There may be a few more loads you can fire. I would actually like to know a list of legal ammo for the launcher if anyone knows. I just mounted one of these on my AK and haven't bought any ammo yet.
It's a shame that the stand alone Havoc isn't a 40mm. A lot of gunners in the Stan and Iraq could use these when a 240 or 50 doesn't quite have the punch of a 40mm or when you need to launch some flares/smokes at someone being an idiot like driving to close to the FOB or OP. The reason why I said that because the M203 and the M4/203 are to bulky, something smaller would be a lot easier to work with.
So if someone wanted one of those 40mms for military use, how would they get a hold of one? Just out of curiosity because a couple of friends might want to know about this.
Call the big man in charge, he'll talk to you about it! We dont sell them 40mm because most "civilians" dont have a class 3 for it who are a HUGE part of our market. We built the 37mm to suit the "needs" of these customers, without having to obtain the class 3. There is a video on my site showing Spike himself shooting an HK 40mm
No Worries, depends on where you live... we are located in the Apopka/Orlando area and at the local gunshows (probably most gunshows) you can purchase them there. Also you can find them online. One of our guys have began to research and make his own smoke and flares.
There is also a 37mm to 12 gauge adapter on the market so you can launch 12 guage flares too. Contact Spike's Tactical for information regarding that...
allright, yeah i live in Idaho. one of the homes of gun toating patriots lol. theres many gunshows that come arround here so i will check local areas for that. thanks a bunch!
Whats it look like on the other side? Will it fit on a troy forearm? Does it have the same kind of cocking handle as the bushmaster type of launchers?
cool as hell but why does it sit so low on the rail?

Is that an integrally supressed barrel? If not, then what kind of barrel is it and who makes it?

@strykerfan Technically standard 12g rounds won"t ever fit in the adapter as the 12g flares have a different back.
