If you want brush like this you can go to craft store and find duplicate fore artist. (and it is much chipper you can find allot of interesting brushes)

Great tutorial.

The only place I've seen a brush like the old 224 is in the art supply store. The brush type is round and comes in kolinsky sable, goat or synthetic fibers.

The best sizes for the eyes are 6, 8 or 10.

I thought I was the only person on youtube who thought the same thing! :)Sometimes for certain looks it's necessary to have a few shades to create a nice fade/blend but most of the time all those colors are un necessary and start to blend into one shade after a while.

I found a brush like the old 224...at a craft and paint store (in Olympia, Wa. "Michaels" to be exact) Its natural bristles and works like a dream I spent $20.00 for it. I know it sound unconventional to buy paint brushes and use them for make up but honestly there is no difference (grant it, it may not work for all mac brushes but this one it did) If you would like one sent to you please let me know.

Yes, I have 2 kits. Usually I get given products/glosses and if I like the colour alot. I buy one for myself. Most of the time you will see I apply my lippy/gloss with a brush but if the gloss is my own I put it on straight from the tube.

i have a dupe for the 226, it's from Chanel, they actually have two brushes, the smaller one i believe is exactly like the 226 and they also have a larger one, i know that Chanel is more expensive that MAC but for those who want a 226 dupe try the Chanel brushes are number is 3 and 12

For similar duplicates but perhaps not exact to the old MAC 224 are Sephora brand .....the "Professional Platinum Smokey Eye Brush #24" or Sephora Brand "Professionnel Rounded Crease Brush #13".

The 224 alternative might just be the 226 brush from mac. It is currently available with the latest launch from the Blonde, Brunette, Redhead Collection. As usual, I think its going to be a limited edition brush, which drive me crazy!! Grab it while u can. Great tutorial, thanks.

can't you use a 219 for in the crease? Because i want to buy it for that purpose...

Everyone uses brushes differently. I use the 219 for smudging shadow underneath the eye but im sure it could be used for the crease.

As I get older I find the softer brushes better in the crease of my eyes as the lid isnt as firm as it once was and the firmer brushes drag a little.

I have a brush that looks very similar to the old MAC 224. :) I bought it from Michael's craft store. It's a Loew-Cornell brush and I don't have it with me at the moment to get the name for you, but there are some there at that store. :) I'm sure they won't be the same quality but they are definitely comparable. Hope this helps!
