I just saw a film about a German therapy where patients are helped to accept their first names, there it is only about their first names which they associate with low class and nerdiness. The Afro-American culture, in my opinion, is derived from socio-economic status. The culture has taken many forms in the past. As I am English I'll use Cockney as an example. Cockney and African American culture is very similar e.g. distinctive clothing, use of slang etc. However there was no racial way to distinguish themselves from upper classes and so their culture could not be adopted as a racial attribute. I just saw a film about a German therapy where patients are helped to accept their first names, there it is only about their first names which they associate with low class and nerdiness. It's like you said, this emotional pain goes way beyond raciscm. Pain just focusses on specific subjects, but it's never the subjects like color, nediness, dress code, by itself. The underlying pain comes mainly from the parents and secondly from society putting pressure on people. We need to break out of it.

Basically it's a person who never goes beyong the cover of a book, an idiot per se. The Afro-American culture, in my opinion, is derived from socio-economic status. The culture has taken many forms in the past. As I am English I'll use Cockney as an example. Cockney and African American culture is very similar e.g. distinctive clothing, use of slang etc. However there was no racial way to distinguish themselves from upper classes and so their culture could not be adopted as a racial attribute. I dont see you as black, I dont see you as brown and I dont see you as white... I see you as a human being. I couldnt give a damn about colour, race or culture, you are human and a good person and thats all that matters to me. you could be purple and I wouldnt see you any different to myself... well, exept from the fact I am white. Keep on going!
