  • Still gonna taste the same bitch

  • its gonna be poop in the end anyway.

  • 0:16 for tits.

  • Comment removed

  • She kinda looks like a... rat.

  • I tried cutting the onion this way but then i took and arrow to the knee!!

  • @wowrage123 /watch?v=mSDfxde8fSg&feature=player_embedded

  • @wowrage123 you'r doing the joke all wrong ...

  • Video isnt bad. I prefer Ramsay's way to cut an onion. It eliminates one step shes taking to get the job done. To those that say it doesnt matter how you cut the onion, well, you're wrong. Uneven larger pieces take longer to cook while smaller pieces cook faster, giving the smaller pieces a burnt flavor while the larger are slightly undercooked. In the world of cooking, its all about taste, presentation and timing.

  • Or watch "Cooking With Dog"

  • Just out of curiosity ,Why do you hate this show ?

    I think it's contructive critcism

  • Wrong way or right way? I choose *hmm I CHOOSE THE FOOD PROCESSOR WAY

  • No, you did it wrong, actually, stupid! You forgot to tell people that the slices across and down the onion should not penetrate past the route and the significance of not chopping the root off.

  • @fleemonstay Penetrate.

  • Planking is old school. Not necessary.

  • no enhance in flavour? then I'll take both plates

  • I feel like you'd need nice knives to do it that way :(

  • I choose the Wrong way! Uneven is the new cool!

  • this is what i learned on cooking momma... I DONT NEED THIS!

  • these chow videos are putting words in our mouths...who the fuck does the wrong examples that they put out....

  • lady: if you cut youre onion like this..

    me: like what?

    lady: which most people do..

    me: be specific lady!

lady: youre doing it all wrong/

  • You'll be slapping my nuts away with the slap chop!

  • If you are dyeing your hair like hers... you are doing it all wrong.]

  • wow thanks, now i know how to cut a onion :)

  • You need some chain with that saw, sharpen you knife, then tell us how to chop

  • She is hot, just like onions can be.

  • She's hot!

  • CHOW FOR REAL HOW TO CHOP AN ONION? BRA FUCKS WRONG WITH U GUYS

  • Haha I see the difference and I just tried. It came out alright. I think with practice I will get better. A chopper would be easier but then you wouldn't be as pro as this chick right here :D

  • whats the difference

you just gonna sauteed them anyway, its not like you'll eat them raw

  • If you cut your onion like this *chop chop chop* which most people do, *chop chop chop chop*, you're doing it all wrong.

  • They look the same, so fuck you.

  • @simon2381 Go watch Gordon Ramsay and notice how he does it the second way, so you are an ignorant foul-mouthed fool.

  • @bbsggnore Screw Gordon Ramsay, this is all day cooking, not how to make good looking food. The only difference is that she cuts the onion like a dumbass in the first way, instead of doing it like a normal person. They do this is all of their videos. Don't come and tell me a stupid chef that drops f-bombs in front of young kids.

  • @simon2381 I don't think being foul-mouthed is necessarily a bad thing, plus, for Gordon Ramsay, it actually has nothing to do with how a good of a chef he is.

Also, I really hope you aren't serious about this cooking tip(ask any chef whether they think this is a good method); I only used Gordon Ramsay because he is well known(you obviously recognized him)

  • It's sad that both top comments are about the same thing

  • how mentally ill do u have to be to not know how to cut an onion

  • if you picked your nose while watching this, you're doing it all wrong. you should use a shovel.

  • Because I hate it when I get different sized onion pieces...

just because it isn't OCD approved doesn't mean it's wrong, CHOW...

  • @yosoccerboy Even sized pieces cook evenly. It doesn't have to be OCD standard, but reasonable size range does make tastier onion.

  • i would cut her onion

  • me: okay mom see this?,this is how it's done! make it like this from now on.

mom: uhh? hon,who really gives a crap?

me: but mom! this is the right way!

mom: WHATEVER I DO WHAT I WANT!

  • yall need to lay off the lady! do it how you want ...even or uneven! ur choice=]

  • chop faster lady or mama will be pissed off at you.

  • try a peeler,

    it is very thin

  • i'd still eat the fucked up onions

  • PFFFT, The only right way is how my Asian grandpa does it. Throwing up in the air and dicing it like a ninja.

  • I did it wrong and I fucking enjoy unevenly cut onion you dumbass.

fuck it i really hate when people come to you and say that you fucking do thing "ALL WRONG". Who the fuck do you think you are?

  • how can i get rid off this crap from my recommended videos, it wont go after i watched single one in past

  • She might cut an onion correctly, but she holds the knife wrong.

  • When you're looking for tips on CHOW.. You're doing it all wrong.

  • WATS THW DIFFRENCE?!?!??!!?

  • the first cut seems unnecessary as the onion is already in layers... is it, is it not?

  • wow. now they're going to tell me that i'm not cutting right?

  • 0:14..."...I'm going to show you a BETTER way". The series may be called "You're Doing it All Wrong," but it's mostly just useful tips to make things tastier, more presentable, or easier, without giving up quality.

  • @TheDiwanShantwain food goes on knife, not in mouth, well whata ya know?

  • the wrong way and the right way looks the same but the right way is smaller chunks...

  • stop cutting the damn onion and make me a sandwich.

  • @ConMusician lmfao

  • Real chefs don't do this way!

    Besides, takes to long!

  • @TonyOakFields yea..we use the food processor!

  • CUT IT WITH A CHAIN SAW

  • I LOVE CHOW YDIAW! seriously I'm addicted!

  • OMG I've been diong it all wrong!!!! WROOOOONGGGG!!!!

  • Who cares?

  • no YOU'RE doing it all wrong

  • seriously this don't make a difference. what you are most likely going to do with the onions is to fry or to saute them, in either way, as long as u cut the onions to expose the surfaces, you're done, no one is gonna care how nice the onion looks like, unless you are going for onion rings...

  • Shut you M.I.L.F people know how to fukin cut an onion wtff don't make bullshitttttttttttttttttt video's

  • i do it this way, i just skip the parallel cuts to the cutting board when im in a rush

  • "the wrong way" as long as you're a real chef, you'll have no problems

  • How bout. SPAM MINCING.

  • FUCK YOU!

  • holy SHIT ! she is fucking smart!! she knows how to cut a fucking onion.. god damn the stupidity these days.. it amazes me

  • "You're doing it wrong" is more likely to piss people off than want them to listen to what you have to say.

Present your alternative method/solution. You don't have to step people on the toes first, It's not a prerequisite.

  • 100% AGREED. Don't piss off your potential viewers.

  • @Lintassimilator They're supposed to say that.

If you get pissed off by being wrong you should probably be in solitary confinement. Oh well.

  • Oh well!? You obviously have no idea what positive re-enforcement is. And by that I mean you obviously do not know how people work. It's basic psychology. Essentially if you approach someone with negativity you're much less likely to get the m to listen to what you have to say than if you approach them witha positive attitude. :P

  • Let's be honest with ourselves. I'm pretty sure that the people in these videos don't give a shit if you want to cry about them telling you you was doing something wrong. They're just presenting information about cooking. To be honest I find it more interesting than a video saying, 'you don't want to do this', 'make sure you di this', etc. It's much more to the point.

  • Lintassimilator:

Just as proper presentation is important to the success of a dish, it's important to present technique in a way that teaches important concepts, but doesn't come across as angry or condescending.

Here's a video that conveys the same information, and the tone is much more helpful, cheerful, and friendly:

    /watch?v=To32LZHKPd8

  • lol almost every chow vids they say "ur doing it all wrong" at every starting

  • I use a slap chop

  • wrong way... more texture

  • Zoeyyyyyy!!!!!

  • i like this video, right to the point

  • use vince's slap chop!

  • HAHHAhAHAHAAH

  • @OurenV2 You're gonna love my nuts

  • @OurenV2 Yeah I like that product, but if anyone work in the kitchen, the chef really hate it, unless if some chef would allow it to use. I just hate when the professional chef thought using slap chop is for lazy cook, but whatever, that their opinion.

  • I use the onion chopper to save time and hassle.

  • yeah but that gets you an uneven chop. and you can't control how fine you want the chop to be.

  • my mummy has always done it that way you say is right its not a big secret you know

  • i agree...this is probably a bit, to basic

  • Cool howto-video and what a smart woman

  • She was born on an onion.

  • Onions Make my eyes cry :'(

  • Use a fan.

  • lmao

  • u cna control easier my sawing so that the whole knife wont cut though the whole onion..sawing it is easier and it controls better..

  • Or just get a sharper knife ?

  • Wow is this a joke?

  • Actually, there is an easier way than that which creates perfectly equal pieces and requires less holding of a on onion that is falling apart.

  • why is she sawing down the onion with a slicing blade? right pattern, weird cutting style...

  • Specially the way she was slicing sideways looked kind of dangerous and awkward. I like my way better - just cube the onion, fairly large chunks. Let it come apart as it cooks. This way the onion doesn't reduce down to tiny little bits that are unrecognzable as onion after cooking.

  • i kinda cut my onions that way. I ust skip out the first parallel cut. the opinion are in layers so you dont really need to do it.

  • Me too. I'll lay the half-onion on the cutting board, then do several radial cuts toward the center of the onion. likes the spokes of a wheel.

  • thats how i chop onions anyway lol

  • no she chopped the wrong way.. thats not how to chop an onion..

  • I BET U CRYED CUTTING THEM ;p

  • nice

i always used to cut off the end :P
