Sorry to respond to a troll, but this is a bs misconception. First off, my Shiba knew 5 commands by the time he was 4 months old. He stops at street corners and looks for cars. The only way Shibas get "ADD" is people want a "pretty dog" they can show off and keep at home. This is a hunting dog. Uh, what a freaking moron. With a handle like that though, it's pretty obvious he gets his kicks being an (__!__).
I removed him and blocked him - I won't tolerate abuse - I'm sorry it took me awhile to do, but I hadn't seen it. Disagreement is one thing, but being abusive is not acceptable!
They really aren't all that difficult. I have one of my own, and she is uber cute, and so are all these. I think I'm gonna upload a video of when the vacuumer gets out of the closet. She is crazy about every single vacuum cleaner. She is so cute... Aw, this video really takes me back.
I have one myself Check out " Dr evil has a scuffle with the leash He's VERY SMART, I cant let him outside w/o the invisible fence cuz he will RUN FOR THE HILLS errr! (No hills where i live) VERRRRY smart My shiba doesnt like other dogs so.... if you get 2 breed get them at the same time and raise them together feisty but smart! Check out "Training for olympics" too Shows how smart he is....
He was born not breathing after being stuck for a few minutes. We got him revived quicky and he has grown up healthy and strong. He is a very "lucky son!"
I'm a new file for Einstein5467 so I'm just recomenting. But my puppy with the same name (Kichiro) a jpanese chin was born with the same ups and downs
Okay, first of all you people who say you want one because they are so cute. RESEARCH!!! You cannot freerun this breed, they can be too smart for their own good and I know tons that end up in the shelter because they are hard to handle. If you have small critters, beware. RESEARCH before you get this breed and get one from a registered kennel not a petstore or newspaper. It is important that this puppy be bred for temprement or they get agressive.
i have one and it is incredibly gentle AND cute. She is thebest dog EVER, she does not bite or anything. Yes i agree she can not freerun but there are enclosed parks for that. DONOT JUDGE THEM BY THE BREED...some are incredibly good dogs, mine is just a little dumb! she is NOT agressive either. so there
I didn't know there were so many comments! There were three boys and two girls. One if the boys had a darker color than the others and of the two marked the same, one was much bigger than the other. With the two girls, one has a much lighter face, so that made them easy to tell apart.
hehehe I have a 2 year old shiba, well he actually belongs to my friends and he is so cute!!! I can't imagine what he looked like as a puppy:-) So adorable:-)
I start working with them on the table seeing if they'll pose because I'm trying to pick out the one with the temperament and the confirmation to be a showdog - I handle them a lot when they are little babies and we start nail trimming early so they tolerate it when they are older. It's a lot of fun, but a lot of work raising a litter.
Shibas are awesome, aren't they? I have 4 adults ranging from 12 years down to two years, plus I kept two of the puppies to show. Two of my adults are retired champions and the mother of the puppies and my two year old male are champions and still show.
kawaiii!, so sweet! They sure are pretty hyper active ^^

And yeah, they can't freerun, but we've been to a park where it is fenced up. She met some other dogs and had a blast.

Are they part wolf at all. They have similar features but they are more calm.
MrsWLeach 4 years ago
Nope, not part wolf. 100% Shiba Inu - they are a native Japanese breed and they look like foxes.

Trying to get them to pose? Amazingly yours are very calm even while playing. That was cute when the three of them had the stick.

I know what you mean. When of the first things I do is handle puppies on their back so they're used to being held and handled by humans.

Must admit, shiba pups are the cutest things in the world. However, its when thet've grown up that you really begin to enjoy their company.
