This is the Fortuna waterfall, not far from Arenal. We went there by horseback just a few weeks ago. Never forget it.

Have swam in that, pretty strong current and it is tough to walk to because of the large boulders and moisture. Glad I did it once though

It is not allowed to swin in it. You can read this notices in English and Español. You swin under your own risk.

Can't swim in it... it's very very cold.
You can swim in the creek further down the road where the road crosses the creek....
this falls is just east of town... and an AWFUL trek down a nasty slope..

It is very cold, but you CAN swim in it. I was just there a month ago today. The current is very strong, though. I had the time of my life there!

It was VERY VERY cold tho. It is better around the corner and the massive fish just come up and swim around you.
