  • It's good! Next week I try this!

  • i will build something similar and use it to dry wood. (force air flow to dry wood)

  • a great working, yet wobbly VAWT with great music! :D

  • @tylerpianoman lol yeah the bearing is not well suported but when I did mount it on somthing more stable she does not wobble one bit :)

  • YES OK

  • Gears, you need gears to convert the torque to higher RPMs for a PMA.

  • I like the music too. : )

  • nu cred

  • i too want to know if you abandoned your Vawt for your Hawt?

  • @chopperbarry I still am working on the VAWT. Still trying to get the right setup. I did redesign it a bit. Made the blades bigger and the diameter bigger but still working on the generator part. I did find out you cant just mount a VAWT to a PMA. A VAWT is a high torque low rpm turbine and the best way to get alot of power out of them is to make your own stator and rotor. I almost have that complete and when it is I will post a video of it and its output.

  • Very nicely done, did you give up on that project in lieu of the windynation blades? I would love to see how a larger diameter system would drive the wind blue PMA. Keep up the good work!

  • looks realy smoothe. Are you going to have a top brace (cross bar) for stability, and how are you mounting your alt, directly to the shaft.

  • if your bottom magnet that is holding the upper magnet (the wait of VAWT) is also mounted to the shaft how is it supporting the weight of the vawt. Or is it mounted to the bearing block. Either way I love your Vawt. Have you tried drilling some wholes in the center for the air to escape without putting drag on the down wind blades? I heard this may help.

  • Is it Tom, Love your YOUTUBE name But am crazy for your VAWT looks perfect as she is......Hey if when you put it up if you drill a whole in the top and drop in a solar garden light, it gives a nice effect at night.....LATER FROM THE WEST COAST

  • nice, looks efficient. Looking forward to seeing how it works with the WindBlue alt!!!

  • nice work, well built.

    regards
