  • This is not Ferrin: this is Ghiaurov! The medium-high notes are only his ones!

  • I believe that Didur is singing this in C rather than the original D. This allows him to go up to that G at the end. Paata Burcheladze does the same thing on the first Bartolli Barber.

If you can't find the sheet music for La Calunia in C write me and I send it to you.

  • in ogni caso molto bello, thanks for posting

  • questo mi sembra ghiaurov, non ferrin...

  • Didur was certainly busy and had a huge range but my favorite bass for this aria was Italo Tajo - less voice - more personality. The best Attila for the last half century was Ramey. Ferrin was not a major singer. Taddeo wasn't either.

  • I agree

  • Excellent. But I´m sure Attila´s aria "Mentre gonfiarsi l´anima" is sung by the bulgarin legendary bass Nicolai Ghiaurov rather than Agostino Ferrin.

  • Thank you so much for uploading La calunnia by Adamo Didur!
