When this movie came out in 1988 I was in 6th grade. LOVED IT! Still LOVE it, it's one of my favorite films of all time.

However, I didn't really understand the underlying plot. I jsut saw aliens.

Scary how, more than 20 years later, you really can see the similarites betweens today's society and this movie.
