  • I love this version of Racing in The Street.

  • so infuencial. great song. hes a POET!

  • great classic

  • I've been listening to this song for 35 years, and this is about the worst version I've ever heard. If any other performer mangled this song as badly as Bruce is doing to his own song, he'd sue them. He skips important words and then runs the rest together, singing in his 'country' voice from 'Nebraska.' He's just calling it in.

I hope people do not give up on his beautiful songs because of this performance, just search for older versions to get the Real Deal original Boss.

  • @olyguy2000 Everyone has an opinion.

  • @olyguy2000 you overstate a little; but for any kids out there: youtube.com/watch?v=NltljcANCFs

  • I disagree with someone below - Bruce is always great just him and the piano - Old favorite very good with the band too - but Bruce raw is awesome also to a fanatic like me I guess.

  • @Deneised

    Me too, I guess.

  • @Deneised

    Me too.

    Peace.

    Rock

  • i love how all of bruce's tunes bring me back to the first time i heard each of them

  • i gave it an honest shot, made it to 1:15 bf i turned the volume off and wrote this comment. makes me sad. at least i can search for the better versions of this song, back in the day, when the hunger was still there, and the improv wasnt

  • @oipbhakeld With respect:

Sorry you feel the way you do about this song and how Bruce "sounds," these days.

    Peace.

    Rock

  • i just love the melody,

i want the piano cover of the song,

  • Strepitoso

    grazie

  • I was at this concert!!!

And I got it on CD, do you have more videos??

    Damn!! This is great!!

    Thanks a lot for uploading!

  • one of the saddest but prettiest song by Mr.Springsteen. with the eyes of one who hates for just been borned

  • Nice job Bruce. But you cant beat Roy on piano on this one.And you keep up the good work Bruchee, all the stuff you put on is really nice.

  • I prefer the version of Racing in the street with the ESB . It has more beauty, better sounds.

Still, it is nice to listen to Bruce's piano skills !

    Thanks for posting.

  • "I prefer the version of Racing in the street with the ESB . It has more beauty, better sounds."

It always is great to listen to Bruce with the ESB... which way each song sounds better is going to be different for every Bruce fan though. Agreed?

I think it is so cool that Bruce is so Brilliant, he can change the music entirely and not change a word in the songs lyrics and still have it be a song that moves you and/or makes you think and/or makes you feel good, etc., etc.

  • From the fire roads to the interstate. I have followed Bruce for 30 years. He is a true rock poet, second to none. springsteen forever.

  • This sounded so good at the O2

  • this is great

  • please dont go - oh damn - i am soo sorry

  • You are so wrong so many songs that you will be missing. you are the one that will have to live with it not us.

  • 44 year old confused short fat man - its ass wipes like yourself that make people hate americans - were you abused as a child?? just a thought? or are you still taking one for the team?/? as for my shitty little island - its all the better for not having spastics like you in it.

  • could glock0017 shut the fuck up - am not american - but bruce is a legend

  • Guess the reason i posted the "strange"comment is because Bruce represents the thing that most people around the globe hate americans for.. he is the epitome of the "american dream"..capitalism ..maybe your right.. maybe its policy..i dont know.. i just kinda figure if your gonna hate americans ..hate all Americans including Bruce..because hes no different than the rest of us westerners so yea i do have a problem getting into him when hes performing for a bunch of hypocrites...

  • I don't think Bruce Springsteen is a cpaitalist at all; politically he's to the left of any presidential candidate except perhaps Ralph Nader. And when I saw him live he said he didn't think there should even be border between Mexico and the US. Maybe this is rich man's idealism but do we even know how much money he gives away?

  • Where is the pride in the US of A gone to?

A nation build on the strengths of immigrants now building a wall to keep out immigrants. Sad, really sad.

  • Sorry to break the news to you but, the US wasn't built on the strength of immigrants, it was built on free/slave labor and cheap labor whenever possible. I'm just saying, we need to be honest here.

  • its real difficult to get into to Bruce knowing hes playing a concert for people that basically hate America ,then again..i saw him in florida..and it paled in comparison to a NJ show .guess there is no place like home

  • what a strange comment!!

He's playing to people who want to hear what HE has got to say....it isn't a question of whether they hate/love US foreign policy... Bruce has his own take on that which doesn't agree with everyone in the US. That is what freedom of speech is about. I have no trouble getting into Bruce wherever he is playing!

  • Seen Bruce do this song a few years back in Ct, nearly cried because this is my favorite song by him!!

  • "Darkness on the Edge of Town" was a great album. "Candy's Room"- very cool

  • Some people have shakespeare, some peopl have bible...

    broken teeth and a dream.

  • a geat song....but the boss sounds a bit tired on this one...
