this movie made me cry so much... i'm northern irish and english, but i live i the south, have done for 4 years.... amazing acting and directing.... the story is inspiring and one of the best historical-fiction films i've seen.

Obviously certain scenes have been dramatised, etc, but this shit really happen in Ireland in the early 1900s. The British were ruthless and barbaric in their treatment of the Irish, just as they have been with many other races.
