If it's between this and Frontier, Zero first. But if you're completely new to Macross, you should watch Super Dimensional Fortress Macross (the original series) or Robotech: Macross Saga; if you want the general history. Even before Frontier, you should also watch Macross Plus, and Macross 7. Frontier makes references to both series and some things may be lost on you if you watch Frontier first.

I only watched Macross Zero and after that Macross Plus, what's the next one you would recommend? I tried watching Do you remember Love but I'm having a hard time getting used to the old style animation. (I don't need CGI but if only it was at least like in Macross Plus)

If the old style animation is getting you down you'll probably want to just go to Frontier. Macross 7 is an older anime, came out in the mid-90's. The animation is a little dated and the general style. But it's still a good series.

If you haven't grabbed either of Neo's suggestions in these two months, id greatly recommend watching 7 then Frontier, you'll get more of the throw backs and they really help draw you in.

this anime reminds me of the movie Ranka is in in the show Macross Frontier, the names are the same and the scene at 4:32 happens in that movie too.

The play is based on the events of Macross Zero, which obviously occurred before the events of Macross Frontier.

Gotta look up that DODGE...most Zero AMV's I've watched suck IMO. That's one of the reasons I went for my own in the first place.
