  • That bass, fucking Warwick, I love it♥

  • One fucking monster of a vocalist. I miss him. :(

  • tesseract use cubase!!?

  • i dont get the hype about Periphery...

  • @mushrmhd6661 same here...

  • 3:28 .. SHIIIIIT !!!!!

  • That bit at 4:21 - Chills every time. What an awesome piece Concealing Fate is.

  • Thanks for the video. I saw you guys live in Houston Texas a few months ago...never heard of your band prior...now one of my top bands. I've been spreading the word!!!!!!!!

    Best of luck and fortune!!!

    Mike.

  • 3:22 when a defenseless girl yelling for a sweet return, then rhythm change smooths it out like a champ. %^*%^*#$

  • what id give for a singer like that. dans awesome.

  • If I had a song that played everytime I entered a room, this would be it! Sooooo good!!

  • just started listening to this band today, awesome. if metal bands like this are going to have "real singing" or "clean vox" or whatever, they gotta sound as good or better than this!! guy's got the perfect voice for this style =]

  • I like that the singer sings with that "airy" style but keeps the whining much more minimal than bands like Periphery. The grooves on this record kill in good headphones.

  • @eleventhsun

If you think Periphery is whiny then go listen to them more, assface.

  • @m4ssee Don't be such a dick. You call me assface because of my opinion? I hate people like you, go fuck yourself. And yes Periphery has a garbage vocalist, I have every right to that opinion. Stop talking shit behind your keyboard pussy.

  • @eleventhsun

Haha, come here and say that to my face. Even though you wouldn't like Periphery's singer, he isn't whiny at all. Go listen to fucking My Chemical Romance if you want whiny vocals.

  • @m4ssee How about you say it to my face pussy? You're the one who started shit over a difference of opinion. Fucking loser. Go listen to your whiny periphery girly boy

  • @eleventhsun

Haha, you're the one who doesn't have balls to even come to a Periphery video to criticize them. I used to like this Tesseract-band, but now I hate them just because their fans are bunch of cunts.

  • @m4ssee

    Neutral third party here.

You're both being cunts, for the exact same reasons. Both of you be quiet and enjoy your respective bands.

  • @OGShively

I respected both bands until this dude called Periphery whiny.

  • @m4ssee You're a little bitch either way. Fuck off, troll. Spencer is whiny.

  • @gir1258

Says a guy who listens to Periphery..

  • @m4ssee Only to their instrumentals...but he has been getting better.

  • @gir1258

    HAHAHA, OH WOW!

  • @gir1258 Thanks, at least I'm not alone.

  • @eleventhsun Man, I really don't care what your opinion is, but Periphery's vocalist is not whiny in the slightest. Singing in a higher range doesn't make it whiny, it makes it more impressive. Plus Spencer Sotelo (Periphery's "whiny" guy) has an incredible voice with a range far surpassing that of most singers and when he gets higher, he gets loud and powerful. Not whiny.

  • @blueburnsred Couldn't disagree more. His high pitched voice including the notes he sings in are the definition of whiney. The band is completely technical and groovy, but have a singer that reminds me of the used, from first to last etc. Singing high does sound fantastic, when done by someone with an enjoyable voice, not a cookie cutter, generic, overused voice. Want high that sounds good? Halford. That's high. That's singing. Not this teenage feminine male bs. To each their own

  • Fuckin' beautiful.

  • love the drumfill at 1:27

  • ребята от вас голову на прочь сносит, просто тащюсь!

  • I usually don't like heavyness mixed with these soft vocals, but holy shit - this is such an exception! Love them!

  • @Berfurijs

Listen to the whole album man... You'll fall in love.

  • He can fucking sing so good! what an awesome find <3

  • 4:25 his voice is.. exactly like the recording? AMAZING, ALL OF THEM :O

  • holy fuck...

  • God this singer is fucking AWESOME

  • does anyone else think the bassist looks kinda like richard e grant but with long hair?

  • nice 777 likes lol

  • Comment removed

  • 1:27 what a juicy fill

  • bring back Dan.....please

  • Bring back Abi!

  • 4:05 rubber sticks

  • Does anyone know if Dan is in another band or solo project or anything now that he's gone?

  • @Wiian95 he went and joined a pop group

  • I've fallen in love with this band in less than a week.

  • @JustinSamland story of my life bro haha

  • I Need This in HD please <3

  • The singer needs to be behind a barrier so that he doesn't blow everyone's head off with his raw power.

  • @TacticalTurtleguy This is true! too bad hes not with them anymore :(((((((

  • I'm so mad Danny left, but so thankful to have seem them live with him.

  • 1:20 CHEESE :}

  • james should have been louder

  • lol rubber drum sticks at 1:51 ha

  • best band!!!!!

  • 3:56 Ghost Spit!!!

  • 5:06 looks as if the cable comes out of his head. Matrix?

  • @Dommak89 aliens

  • Exactly those high cleans are what make this band kinda special for me.

  • KING-> MESHUGGAH

    PRINCE->TESSERACT

  • And this is just them jamming! Wow, awesome! Hopefully they will be touring the UK again soon.

  • Daniel broke his promise that he made me by quitting the band :'(

  • RUBBER STICKS!

  • look at 2:20 hes playing with rubber sticks.

  • lol at the drummers sticks

  • The new singer sucks (I saw him live), why did this one quit?

  • @GadKing Elliot is actually very very good, just...not for Tesseract. Dan left cos he found out elliot was singing with the band or something? or he left for personal reasons.

  • @SynasizedVengeance Yeah the guy seems to have a good voice, but it seems to be too "clean" for the band IMO

  • @GadKing Yeah Elliot is actually AMAZING. Just not for this band like Vengence said. Check out of man not of machine and you may like him a little more

  • @Grecian92 All right, I'll do that. When I said "he sucks" it was a little bit harsh, what I meant is that he didn't seem to fit in the band. His vocals were too high and too clean.

  • @GadKing Yeah check out the song metal gear by them. Has some good screaming

  • Comment removed

  • 1:07 to 2:25 is my personal drug

  • 1:20-2:25 Ogień z Dupy.

  • 1:50 - how is he playing that double-bass pattern while getting the hi-hat foot pedal?

  • @mjrupps It's not a double bass pattern at that point, just doubles on one pedal I'm sure

  • @mjrupps he does the double-bass pattern with one foot I think. A lot of drummers do it.

  • @mjrupps lol, thats easily doable on one foot, think... hes not hitting that fast... hes probably using the sweeping technique

  • @iWentToNam I didn't realize the snare hit means no bass drum. He's using the double pedal without the foot on the hi hat in the next measure. My bad.

  • badass

  • My favorite song by them. I love the sound of the intro. What a voice this guy has.

  • this is in the top ten metal songs i've heard in the last 23 minutes

  • I miss Daniel D:

  • omg, I hate that in this version the notes he sings in the beginning are always slightly out of tune... still an amazing song and singer!

  • You're amazing! I hope I'll see you in Poland ;)

  • Hi! what is the bridge pickup brand and model ,that you guys are using in those ibanez ?

  • @em07189 James Monteith told me they're Lundgren M7's.

  • 11 dislikers ? off to Sheol foul filth!

  • Comment removed

  • man, those drum sticks are really elastic

  • @nikooxmaster I'm not sure if it was meant as a joke or not, but it's due to rolling shutter in the camera :)

  • Actually, I think the new singer is better than this LIVE. They rocked Ft. Lauderdale yesterday with Animals as leaders and BTBAM \m/

  • It's ringing in my head for about two weeks now. Just great. And vocalist is perfectly suited for that singing.

  • I think they just don't know how good their music is...or was...

  • What time sig is the riff at 3:57 ?

  • @Metalmando69 4/4

  • although it's not relevant, vildhjarta is spelt wrong in the tags.. i think. had to say.

  • @DarkstarRichii95 You're right, it is VildhJarta

  • This is live? (only with some camera edits and stuff)? if so, i'm deeply impressed!

  • 1:50 RUBBER DRUMSTICKS!!!!111

  • вы нахрена нового вокалиста взяли????????

    судя по видео он никакой...

  • So, taking it from the intro, this all happened in a bus? Badass bus, I say... Can I have one for my birthday? :D

  • @therwbrman Tardis bus

  • Don't even know a better vocalist than Dan, he just renders me speechless. It sounds exaggerated, but fuck, he's just... argh

  • 3:27.... The brutality is beyond measure.

  • I feel like there's some epic-ness I'm missing here. The video wants me to believe they're super talented and amazing musicians, but this song just isn't really doin' it... Any other suggestions?

  • @JacoTheSkunk

I really enjoy "Eden". The lead guitar doesn't have many standout parts, and serves more in terms of ambiance so if you're looking for crazy leads this isn't exactly the band.

  • Comment removed

  • @JacoTheSkunk Listen to the intro of this song outside on a stormy day with good isolation earphones. Amazing. Seriously.

  • That china cymbal got hit by some shrapnel from the guitar tones.

  • So much awesomeness!

  • @XFrozenmetal No.

  • and go damn thats an amazing clean tone :O

  • @omekrab stock ibby in the neck and a lundgren m7 in the bridge, but acle just bought some bkp aftermaths

  • drummer sticks. rubber. pause it at 1:52

  • What china is the drummer using? It sounds so sick.

  • TesseracT are fucking amazing misssed there london show tho :(

  • cant what for orlando!

  • So disappointed that Dan left. He's brilliant.

  • Wait. Dan Left? Why?

  • Comment removed

  • Jay has bendy sticks at 2:20

  • Probably the most memorable opening in modern metal that i've heard in a long time

  • @linkin233 i personally like the intro to idols and anchors by park way drive, it's not much but it's memorable, at least i think so

  • Dan was Tesseract's perfect match.

  • I miss Dan. I liked Elliot for SEA and his solo work, but Dan was so fucking awesome and mood matching for Tesseract.

  • Why are they all so handsome? I'm a bassist, so I naturally focused my attention on Mos (Metal Hugh Grant) the first time I saw them, but they're all such lovely men.

  • why would you leave this band?

  • Does anyone else notice that the drummer's sticks look like they are made of rubber?

  • @WaveringRadiant00 He probably uses Push Pull technique.

  • @WaveringRadiant00 It's so cool to see how things we normally think of as solid bend and warp under such little force, isn't it? Imagine what it'd look like in slow-motion.

Not that the drumming is in any way soft, of course.

  • @MajorHickE It's an optical illusion. They're staying straight, the camera is picking up the stick at different points in its arc so it's looking like it bends. You can do it yourself with a pen or pencil by wagging it with one end between your fingers.

  • @TJvigilante If that's the case instead, it's still kinda cool.

  • I love this fucking song

  • They have real talent. Just ordered their album. They have planty of potential !!

  • @Cyberbob182 Dan left the Band... the Vocalist

  • @TheExtremist123 Thought so : the new singer appears on the music video of Nascent. Might not be as good as Dan on harmonies and cool voices but he is a good screamer though. Nascent is one of my favourite songs of Tesseract, so no regrets ;)

  • @TheDjentinator Oh of course I see it now, (with this this whole clicking comment links thing) but I didn't in the first place, so I thought you were on about this song (deception) as its 5.40 haha. Silly me

  • @TheDjentinator I must have missed the first comment. what did it say?

  • lets stop complaning and listen to this masterpiece

  • Who cares if Djents a fad, if Djents a tone, if djents a sound, it's music, get over it.

  • @TheDjentinator It's all in 4/4...

  • All in all, specific guitar tones\other bullshit aside, I love these guys. and you all should be able to recognize the talent behind them.

  • @2:20 BENDY DRUM STIIIIICKS ;o sick.

  • when did hugh grant join tesseract

  • @420nietzsche I did notice that ha ha The Bassist

  • Special Defect's with voice

  • Why the fuck did Dan leave?! :/

  • seriously the dude is a beast at vocals this band and their style is just plain fuckin amazing...

  • A seven year old song finally being tracked onto an album....Ive lost respect for this band years ago, i dont really know what they were doing all those years but now i can see. They were looking for the Justin Bieber of metal vocalists that clones/reflects the same of other djent bands...Hurray for EMO/Djent!!! not....

  • @d3tach3d Couldn't agree more. I loathe Misha for whoring out the term Djent when HIS TONE IS NO WHERE NEAR WHAT DJENT IS. He should call is tone DJAK cause honestly that's what it sounds like. God I hate that fucking word now. Djent. Pfffff

  • @jdmimport13 Thx man, I know exactly what you mean. Since when did poly polyrhythm grooves and palm muting get called "djent". I bet meshuggah hates it.

  • @d3tach3d I know right? It angers me more that Misha whored the shit out like some slut when his tone is a garbage attempt at a Meshuggah tone. A good tone is a good tone but there is only 1 real Djent tone and we know who that is. There's even a website got-djentdotcom. It's awful. Goddamn all these followers.

  • @jdmimport13 @d3tach3d djent is a sound. its not a tone. if misha's tone djents, then its djenty a tone. his tone definitely djents. meshuggah is one of my favorite bands, but they dont appeal to everyone. periphery and tesseract cover a lot more ground musically and attract more people, so the sound has caught on. theres a lot of musicians who have taken the low gain, high mid concept and created great sounds out of their instruments. its not their fault the majority doesnt know what it means

  • Comment removed

  • I know Djent is a tone. I've preached that to evey noob that trolls youtube. Being that Djent was used at one time to only describe Meshuggah's tone then that is the basis for everything else. Misha's tone isnt Djent.... Its Djak. Cause it sounds more like Djak then Djent. Djent has balls. A/B Soul Burn and a Periphery song back to back and see. Big difference. Regardless. Point was, even though I really don't care for Tesseract, they have more of a Djent tone that any of the "djent" bands now.

  • @d3tach3d this dude is one of the most talented singers in the metal scene. if youre gonna knock him and this band cause he looks like JB then gtfo. and i dont even remember the last time i heard the word emo. thats a stretch dude. and if youre gonna knock the band cause theyre trying to clone other "djent" bands, then you dont know anything. Dans been with the band the last 2 years, Acle started the project in 03. theyre one of the pioneers of this whole djent fad. not "clones"...

  • @wadewoodbury Durp Da Dur.

  • @d3tach3d you win dude!

  • Comment removed

  • 2:26 for epicness

  • They're like the 30 Seconds to Mars of metal!

  • @BrianGarrels just shut up.

  • this sounds pretty much identical to the album version, freakin BOSS can't wait to see them live

  • Devin Townsend style...like...
