@Tazor215 You should really get your advice from a professional. (see my comment below) you should NOT take your piercing out until at LEAST 3 months. Doing that will irritate the piercing and increase the chance of it rejecting. If your doing sea salt soaks the right way (again, see my comment) there is no need to take the jewelry out.

I just happened to come across thus video and there is a lot wrong with it. First of all you dont just pour the salt in. The ratio.of salt to water should be 1/4 teaspoon salt to 1 cup of water. Second of all you should never use bactine because just like peroxide and alcohol it is bad for piercings. When you are in the shower do not use body wash. You should use is antibacterial soap (such as doctors use). Never play with your piercing like she did, you shouldnt even be touching it at all.

This is REALLY bad for your peircing. My peircer said you could get salt burn from this and it can damage your peircing. I highly suggest not doing this. He told me to put the salt solution in a spray bottle and spray it on your peircing.

1. salt can dry the skin out. i know that because it rejected mine a year after i got it. use dial soap and a qtip. glass carries bacteria. your skin already looks like its rejecting. stop using that stuff! stick with antibacteria gold dial handsoap. then rince the soap off.

You can't use Hygrogen peroxide and ointment because it can cause irritation and lengthen overall healing time. thats not correct.. use a mixture of exactly 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt and 1 cup of water to clean it.. do not boil the water either.. and do not use spray either & you cant take it out until 9 months to a year.unless a professional does it..not good... go find info from a PROFESSIONAL
if you think hers is crooked you should see mine!! the needle wouldnt go though my skin and she wasnt using a clamp so when she jammed it through for the third time it went in crooked :(
your actually not supposed to move your piercing around at all while its healing, and you definately should not be using body washes or just normal soap on it, the only thing that is okay is anti-bacterial soap while you are cleaning it. your piercing should also not be changed for 6 months to a year. if your not using a saline soak, you should be only wiping of the crusty parts if you have any with a q-tip or tissue. while its healing it best not to touch it at all.
@LVbeauty you're right about the soap, but in most cases it's not necessary to wait 6 months- 1 year before you change it (depends on the person and how quickly they heal). also you SHOULD move it around (in an out only) after you put cleaning solution on it so that it gets inside the hole as well and heals it internally and so the skin doesn't attach to it but don't play with it or move it around too much.

its perfectly safe to have a shower just avoid shampoo and shower gel to go inside because then its more work to get it out. you can cover it up with your hand, but i dont advise a plaster. Its perfectly fine if u get puss or blood comin out during 3 weeks into your navel piercing. If u have any severe itching or any suspicious reaction towards your piercing then go see a doctor.

Right on the bottle of Bactine it says not to use it on punture wounds. Just FYI. And don't use body wash to clean fresh piercings or twist the jewelry around.
it depends on u, ur suposed to wait at least 2 months, i changed mine after a week and mine was fine - but when my sister changed hers after about 3 weeks it got infected and very red / sore etc, just wait until its not red or sore anymore and you can twist the bellybar around the full way - otherwise when you go to change it it'll hurt, hope this helps =)
I think you could if you wanted to change it now. But if you unscrew the balls off it you can leave the bar and change the balls so it looks like a different bar because yours won't be fully healed yet.

For me I just got it done today. My friend did it for me but her dad is a professional so she knows how. I started getting really nervous and shaking but it all worked out. it didn't really hurt for me. Just a little pinch from the clamp and just don't think about the pain or the needle and you'll be fine. Mine still doesn't hurt

when you buy new jewlery, make sure you soak it in boiling water before using it. Every so often, you can clean the jewlery itself, but its not nessesary

Heyy. i left you a message b4 from the first time i got my belly done. it got really infected and had to let it close. But i got it done again and it got alittle infected but thanks to this vid i remembered that u said Bactine worked. And OMG it DID!! my belly piercing is better then its ever been! tytytytytytyyty.

Right on the bottle of Bactine it says not to use it on punture wounds. Just FYI. And don't use body wash to clean fresh piercings or twist the jewelry around.

it depends on u, ur suposed to wait at least 2 months, i changed mine after a week and mine was fine - but when my sister changed hers after about 3 weeks it got infected and very red / sore etc, just wait until its not red or sore anymore and you can twist the bellybar around the full way - otherwise when you go to change it it'll hurt, hope this helps =)

I think you could if you wanted to change it now. But if you unscrew the balls off it you can leave the bar and change the balls so it looks like a different bar because yours won't be fully healed yet.

I just got mine pierced yestserday, I think I'm going to try this out because they didn't have anty H2 Ocean stuff which is sea salt and water pretty much how long untill i can move it around becuase right now its still a little tender but it has only been about 24 hours

i done mine 2nd time. First time it ripped out after 4-5 months. Yes , it hurt more 2nd time. :-(
Now im afraid to lose it again so I am trying to keep it clean. I use antibectarial soap tht that guy gaveme, for twice in a day. he didnt mention sea salt etc. But is it ok to use sea salt?My skin around the ring gets dry when i use soap. can I use some kids moisturizer or smething to keep it moist? It happened before .... :=| mine after 2 weeks still hurts. It is red around the upper side ring.

i got my belly done today, it looks like yours, i got the same sorta ring. but when i was getting it done everything was fine untill i got the ring in cause my skin was really thick around my belly button and she was pushing it so hard for it to go through the hole but still nothing. it took her about 5 minnutes to get the ring through, it was all swollen and red first but now its perfect, a little red around the top but thats all.. im going to give ur sea salt thing a try tommorow :) thankyou

i got some disinfectant stuff from my piercer and idk if its working lol 1 week later and the top is still sore but thats normal right? so when i take it out for the first time in a few months time do i disinfect the piercing and hole with the disinfectant stuff or should i buy that salt & hot water stuff? :)

For me I just got it done today. My friend did it for me but her dad is a professional so she knows how. I started getting really nervous and shaking but it all worked out. it didn't really hurt for me. Just a little pinch from the clamp and just don't think about the pain or the needle and you'll be fine. Mine still doesn't hurt

NO! Use sea salt solution. Alcohol is much too harsh. Same with peroxide.

when you buy new jewlery, make sure you soak it in boiling water before using it. Every so often, you can clean the jewlery itself, but its not nessesary
