  • @kikztolazzle the eyes are usually open at 2 weeka bu tsome domestic breeds take up to 6 weeks to fully open their eyes!! it varies from breed to breed!

  • your ferrets will open there eyes at 4 weeks

  • Not 2 weeks old, more like 6 weeks

  • They move faster and differently to ferrets and are able to catch rabbits in the open.

  • their daddy is a big fella :]

  • These are not wild polecats! You would not get that close to one, especially if they had young

  • @firebladeips These polecats live at the British Wildlife Centre, they are not tame and not handled, they are used to the public visiting as that has happened since they were born, but they live in a natural environment

  • @firebladeips have you considered the possibility that the camera has a zoom feature?

  • @firebladeips yes you could get that close to them!! have you ever lived in the country? ive seen squirles birds and bobcats that will just stay there when you walk up to them. so long as you arent hurting them or threatening them they WILL allow you to stay.

  • There are WILD polecats.. not tame ferrets.

  • hi my polecats have just had kits whitch are now 4weeks old but i was wondering should there eyes be open or not because they arent and im getiing kinda worried wb la x

  • @kikztolazzle I have no idea, as Ferretfanatics said, these are not pet polecats, if you are breeding them then i feel you should have some knowledge on these matters

  • A ferret is essentially a domesticated polecat, anatomically they are pretty much identical except perhaps certain artificially bred behaviour and coat colorization.

  • The European Polecats aren't as big as other polecats, they're even smaller than ferrets

  • European polecats are much bigger than ferrets, ferrets are thin. Polecat males are so big as a housecat. Theyhave more muscles and more brains too. Ferrets are domestic.

  • Where do you find them? in a zoo? I hunt on them with live cage trap. Good video 5/5

  • you are a red neck. why would you hunt them you asshole? They're so cute. Fuck you.

  • Hey my friend, you don't know me. I don't kill them, it is for research, I let them free, I only look if they are healthy and what they eat and how big their terretory is. I future I will use trackers to locate them.

  • Ah I see. The way you made it sound was that you wanted fur. Thanks and sorry for clearing that up.

  • Nope they are rear here in The Netherlands, all over europe. And I want know more about this animals to protect them, to make hidingplaces and give advice to farmers. But there is nothing wrong with fur, I have fur from animals, like rabbits, fox, etc. But I have a heart, so I don''t kill polecats, pine martens, badgers, because they are rare and need help. So I am trapper and a friend of nature

  • are polecats the same as ferrets?

  • no they are bigger and vicious

natural born killers will have a go at aything that mooves

  • Bigger, yes,

    Vicious... Hell NO.

I had a pole cat for 4 years, he was my baby. Casper would run around ym garden while I weeded and pruned and when I had a rest he'd come sip my mug of tea.

Actually when told he'd come and lock his teeth around my finger and he'd happily hang like that and let me carry him around he loved it.

He even used to sit behind my neck while I watched tele and cleaned my hair like I was a mate or something. He loved me, I loved him and he was NEVER vicious. Miss him.

  • yes but was he brought up in the wild no ?

wild ones are nasty they need to be to servive

  • as are all wild animals

  • where'd you get him? Sounds cute!

  • You can find them in hay storage or in holes or in dry ditches or near forrest etc.
