Also, tip for everyone, don't watch all of the tutorials at once or some in a row, watch 1 and then mess around in your world, it's more handy than watching more in a row and then going to play in your world.

Even better is watching a segment and then try the same in your game, you'll learn it really fast.

hmm, I just make a garbage dump one squar next to all the masons workshops, then make all the rocks end up as trash, then reclaim it so all the rocks get stacked in that one square.

The site around my fortress seems to generate a lot of corpses of animals, and I don't even know how they get there. They just sort of... appear. xD

Actually seeing this game in action is quite helpful. When I first got this game, I pretty much went "OMG iz teh l33t gam0r" and dove in without instructions. I made it partway through the initial skill distribution page before I went insane, gouged my eyes out, and died.

And in comparison to the wiki, a demonstration is MUCH better than a wall of text. So thanks for doing all this!

The guitar mixed with your very soothing voice enchanting me into a mesmerized state of drunkenness. I started tilting my head and started breathing heavily while looking at the screen and hearing the guitar and your voice sooth my mind out of reality.

I couldn't hear you and started to get scared because of the real world. The guitar calmed me down and I started breathing deeply again and then, everything turned black.

I woke up in darkness unable to breathe, the guitar was all that existed.

The best way is after you have alot of dorfs to dump it as soon as you mine out an area you're going to use, make a 1-2 space dump area using zones (i) and you're dorfs will clear the area, put the dump near a mason's workshop and when you want to use it undump it using d+b+D

Thanks. Got that all figured out now. But...

I found a bug I think. If you create stone pile and the get rid of the pile designation then try to dump the stones (useless types) the dwarf will not do so. Oh well.

I noticed that your rooms are extremely large. From the DF wiki, it seems that any 7x7 space without supports may cause a cave-in.

Should I worry about putting my workshop too close to bedrooms? I saw on the wiki it says most workshops make noise outward 16 tiles and this can wake up Dwarfs who are sleeping.

Try to put your workshops as far away from your bedrooms as possible, they DO make noise and WILL cause tantrums.
