It's a shame GT5 is so inconsistent, I've been a big fan of the series since the start and have only just got an Xbox & Forza 3... I've got to say Forza 3 is a better game, so the visuals aren't as good, but the cars sound WAY better, and sometimes the high def visuals in GT5 show how CRAP some of the textures etc are... It's too big, the menus are horrible, the music is like ear rape, and just feels unfinished to me... The driving is still pretty good though.

@schpongled Forza 3 is very boring though. The driving doesn't feel right. Wheel support is absolute shit and there aren't as many things to do in Forza as you can do in GT5. 3 games and they have yet to add night racing, rally, weather, etc. Also, wtf do you mean by "too big?" Are you seriously complaining about the colossal amount of content that is in GT5? The only thing I find good about Forza is the accessibility. But that is holding it back from being a true simulator. Rewind can fuck off.

@CernaML No I'm not complaining about the amount of content, rather it feels like they've tried to do too much, some cars premium, some not, some tracks look good some don't, just makes it feel unfinished to me, which when the game took 6 years to make takes some doing! Oh and I forgot the load times. And that music!!!

Forza 3 is smaller with less to do, but it's a coherent package compared to GT5, I don't agree that it's boring though but it's all just a matter of opinion with these things...

Yes - trail mountain is an alltimeclassic - but in termes of visuals its one of the worse tracks in gt5 (visibly tiled and lowres textures, lack of detail) - nürburgring on the other hand is a masterpiece in terms of accuracy.

Thats a perfect example of the visual inconsistency of this great franchise

@jma10241 Forza 3 is older than GT5. GT5 was developed for a long time and still they screwed up the car motor sounds. And only the premium cars look good in GT5 cuz others look undetailed. In Forza 3 every car looks amazing. Can't wait for 4.

And also if you're going to crank the steering wheel 180 degrees while going too fast, you're going to understeer. My real life car, (25 year old bomb), understeers like crazy as soon as you reach the limits.
