they need to remake Metal Gear 1 after they do Peace Walker. Thats how they could have Big Boss and Solid Snake interact, and even better Remake Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake and remake the final battle between Big Boss and Solid. That would be epic. I think it will happen someday. They would have to remake those first two games in order to fully close the chapter on Big Boss and introduce a young, green Solid Snake. i would love to see how David hayter would do a young snake. perhaps his own voice?

MGS 3, MGSPO, MGSPW, MG, MG2:SS, MGS, MGS2, MGSR & MGS4 are the canonical and chronological order of the games, so when you say it was that TTS is the "third game in the series" then you must mean it was the third released, because it isn't the third in any other definition of the franchise.

Naked Snake IS Big Boss. zeekee is right. Naked Snake killed The Boss in MGS3 thus receiving the name "Big Boss." Solid Snake and Liquid Snake as you should find out in the first game for the Playstation are part of the "Les Enfant Terrible" project and are actual clones so to speak of Big Boss. Snake actually killed Big Boss during the Fall of Zanzibar if I've got my info correct. The LET project retreived Big Boss' DNA after Zanzibar.
