Saw Evile live one month ago. Finally someone kicking the Big Four´s ass (btw I love the Big4). The next album will be the greatest thing ever heard : Master of Puppets Part 2?
I'll clarify once more that I'm speaking strictly about the vocals. You find one track where Araya of Slayer or Hetfield from Metallica sound like this on there vocals. . . . . I like how instead of making an insightful observation you simply state that it sounds exactly how I said it didn't! don't get all butt-hurt! I like the vocals from the last two albums better. it's as simple as that. And paired with their growing instrumental ability they could easily produce a metal masterpiece!
@ThrashTillDeath73 I'm gonna go ahead and assume you live in Europe and jawbreak1r lives in the USA like me. Evile are not as popular here as they are in Europe. I had to dig deep to find Evile.
@TheTreeIsWater Nope, I live in deepest darkest outback of rural S. Illinois. But by popularity I mean when you're surfing NWOT bands on Amazon, EVILE is usually one of the featured bands under the "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought" lists. You know the band WARBRINGER, I assume. Just search for their albums, and I guarantee EVILE comes up as one of those. I get most of my band leads from those lists.
@cruekid2001 You misunderstand my statement...im saying that THEY'RE GOOD, but they're not amazingly popular...i was asking why they aren't as popular as the other shitty bands nowadays...
@jawbreak1r Even noobs who read metal hammer have heard of these guys! Ok, that's a bit harsh on Metal Hammer, and you, but they are very well known. Also check out Violator, Municipal Waste, and Wolf ("legions of bastards" I heard. putting that after Wolf should make finding them on YouTube a LOT easier!)
The new singing style sounds a bit too "whiny" in some places and on other tracks. Where's the "attack"? This is what happens when commercial pressures and bad producers get a hold of heavy thrash bands!
@qu7aker It's not the voice it's the style. This shits way more commercial/mainstream than it used to be! Whether you like it or not you can't deny it. I like the "thrasher" style a thousand times better. They used to sound like old school Slayer and Metallica. The Guitar, drums and bass are all there and better than ever! I just don't dig the vocals. Anyone that knows music and knows what a fucking melody is should see just how simple and flat the vox are now! hope he gets his edgeback
@WhiteThrash89 Matt sounds more like Hetfield/Araya on this album so i have no clue what your talking about. The vocal melodies on this album are a lot more complex and original then there past releases. But its all opinion so w/e.
@WhiteThrash89 Listen to the second cd on the redux edition of Infected Nations. This is much closer to how he actually sounds live compared to the vocals on the first two albums, I think this is a more natural way for him to sing or something because live his voice doesn't really sound like it does on Enter the Grave or Infected Nations. I will admit, his voice was more metal on those albums though.
@SteelMetalBand Now that I can agree with. You're the first person that didn't get all butt-hurt by my observation or try to deny it completely! I love the last two albums sincerely and think that they can produce better music yet to come! I just hope they don't succumb to commercial pressures and sell out to some shitty pop producer who shoves hopes and dreams of dollar bills up there asses! It took Metallica 20 fuckin years to get back on track! But we won't get into that!
Can anyone tell me if they got a new vocalist for this album? . . . If not they should! I'm a huge fan of their first 2 albums and this one had the potential to be the HEAVIEST fucken album yet. What do you guys think?
@WhiteThrash89 It's still the same singer, he just got much better at singing this time. I think he sounds awesome, think it's great to hear some good singing in a band this heavy/fast instead of screaming or barking or whatever.
@WhiteThrash89 It's still Matt. I prefer him to sing like this. It adds more of a melodic feel to Evile's Thrash and Heavy sound. It's a perfect combo that not very many have been able to pull of. The few that I can think of that can are Anthrax, Megadeth, Annihilator, Metallica, and some Testament.
This song is incredible. I love the bass fills and variation throughout the song. Easily one of the best thrash songs of recent times, more than competing with the veterans.
absoluty genius ... i give any organ for the album...someone ?
