Old Muse or Newer Muse?

I loved their music mostly when they where younger, though I don't like so many songs from Orgin of Symmetry(guess I'm not in to that kind of genre), but they are Muse, right. So I love ALL of their music. But I have to go with old Muse, in music. In person, I think they are awesome and funny all around! :D

Errr. this is really hard for me to answer. I like bits and pieces of their career. I mean, Origin of Symmetry is a great album as well as Absolution and all, but I cannot put down their new musical styles...and they seemed to have better equipment and all for playing gigs now than in their early years. Yeah I can't decide.

But I really did like the Blue/Red hair phase of Matt's..and that one video where he threw his guitar into the ocean. So yeah..every era is awesome.

Muse is awesome! I can't choose between older and newer... But now that you have asked... I loved the BHAR era :) I think that their fashion sense was perfect then ;) (Doms coloured pants, etc.) And BHAR had those catchy riffs that I love :) like KoC and Assassin :D and I think that The Resistance didn't have those so much... It was more classical :/ And I thought that The Resistance was maybe a little bit too political... Don't get me wrong, I love The Resistance :) that is just my opinion :)

I think younger Muse was better in the way that they rocked more live.From the videos I've seen it just looked like they were much more fun back then.Like smashing equipment and crap like that....So yeah thats my opinion

Muse is great,old and new.

As for music, all their albums are very different and each have like a specific theme so it hard to decide which is best because they are all Amazing and unique!

As for fashion, they have always had crazy styles.Lately they've gotten crazier,which is cool.I did love those colored trousers Dom had and I havent seen him wear them for a while(kinda sad)

As for all around awesomeness, first let me say Muse was,is,always will be awesome! But....

I personally think their style was way better back then but it just shows maturity as thye get older. It doesnt change the fact that all of their music is simply amazing. I love all their albums and songs. Even though I'm iffy about Neutron Star Collision. But they will always be my favorite band

I love to listen to their albums starting with Showbiz, and then see how much they have evolved! How many different genres there are in their progress as musicians.

I don't know which Muse I like the most - I can rock out with plug in baby, as much as I can become absorbed in Exogenesis Symphony.

I love Muse and I think that fashion isn't important, in turn them newer albums are maturer than Showbiz or Origin Of Symmetry.

Obviously, every album is different and... I think that Muse is Muse and nothing change it ..

for me it's impossible to say because I love the old and the new muse more than any band on the planet. I just wish they would play smaller venues sometimes cuz last time I saw them they were so far away that it didn't feel real and I could only see their faces in the monitors...

but still it was the best concert I've ever seen:)

I love both "old" and "new" Muse. For me it's the feeling I get when I listen to Muse, it's a feeling no other music can give me. The only thing I doesn't like is the twatshite(twilight) soundtrack thing.

Probably old, but I like Black Holes and Revelations, but from The Resistance they are going a bit . . . hard to say - downhill. They're still good of course, but I like there older stuff better :)

The two are different enough that there's no fair way of making comparisons. Showbiz and Origin of Symmetry were emotional, dark, and eccentric albums. They weren't focused around concepts, but served as the two records in which the band found themselves musically. Absolution is when the band hit its stride, and ever since I believe Black Holes and Revelations, as well as The Resistance, have truly defined Muse. They are conceptual, consistent, and thorough. To answer the question, new Muse.

i love the old AND the new muse. but yet there are some things I don't like now,like eg the whole twilight thing. it sucks. it's also a shame that songs like undisclosed are played on every crappy radiostation in the world. but for me, the "worst" thing is that they have become...I don't know which word fits but it's like they don't do stage diving anymore,they only play huge venues, it's not that easy to meet them anymore...you see what I mean?

but anyways: my love for muse is forever! :D

I honestly prefer older Muse. New muse is still pretty kick ass, but not nearly as they were in Showbiz. :)
