  • No doubt this is his best piece. It was really fantastic then and even now with all the technology it is still a great piece. I wish he could remaster it in the new format. It evokes memories of the swinging 70s.

  • when we were small travelling with my parent dey love to play dis music when going to our village men d music go just dey enter person head God

  • I am modestly speaking, an aficionado of African highlife and I wish to say that it is easy to agree with Obey on "Board Members". If you want to know, play it at the remotest parts of Nigeria, 4rm Bight of Biafra (Bonny) to Kaura Namoda & 4rm Lagos (Lagoon at V.I.) to Madagali in Maiduguri. Obey .. Obey, Commander ... Ba..ba..! "Oremi ...Shade dara lobiri" MY FRIEND JOKE APART, SHADE IS REALLY TRULY BEAUTIFUL. Easily one of the best unification/jollification tune pan Nigeria.

  • I love this piece very much. My father loves playing since then i do derive pleasure in it and anytime i listen to it I always remember home and the time i was young trying to learn it. Thank you for a very job well done. Keep it up!!!

  • I grew up listening to this piece because my parents are always playing it and i loved it then and i still love it now. It reminds me so much of my late parents and their friends having a good time in our house on Lagos Island. God bless you Gooovy Master. You are the best.

Groovy, Can you post Sunny Ade - Wundia Marun Lopade Jesu/Ololufe nibologbalo? More blessing!!

  • people like Sir Obey come once in every 100 years.. You are a true living legend beccause you reming me of my late father.

  • You know, many still think this is Obey's all-time best, a view that he himself shares. I am just amazed that he has insisted for over three decades that he recorded the album without any prior rehearsals and in one single take. It may sound thin now in the face of new technology, but the music is still clearly one of Obey's finest; and his hand is steady all through, too. You will not find such evenness in Sunny Ade until Suku suku bam bam, 1976; coming of age came for both at different times!

  • I read that Obey said this was his best selling work. And since it's on casette one can only guess at how many pirated copies of it were made. I just found it so it is new music for me and it sounds great. Very nice music indeed.

  • I am surprised that u groovemonzter is just new to this grand hit of the 70s! How sweet the sound indeed. Obey is balm here.
