Not an unbelievable offer...the correct offer ! More or less even money on a coin flip is the correct offer to deal..well done that woman !!!
17 .5 K and 45 k is a designed figure to make the contestant go for the £250k which ofcoure in that situation would be the correct thing to do.
Unfortunately as I have stated before not many contestants work out the maths which is frustrating and the banker knows this as well hence the reason of low offers which are most times grabbed with both hands.
what a unbelievble offer, no wonder she dealt, if she would of gone for it, she would of well deserved 250k, because of the offer, not like the otehr two winners, what was the offers 17,5k and 45k, pathtic offers no wonder why they won it, they didnt win it in my eyes, theres been no winners of the 250k yet
The offer of 120k was high compared to these days. But you have to remember that she was only the 17th contestant to play the show. The producers of the show would not have wanted her to win the 250k that soon. So would have tried to stop her at all costs! If she played that game now she still would have been offered around 90k to 101k because she turned down offers of 33k and 52k!
I said they should have offered her 20k because she will probally take the point of the game is for the dealer to get her at the lowest price and 20k would do this.
People might think you were mean (low rating comment lots of thumbs-down) but actually the fact is, by today's standards of offers...i mean when its a blue + £100,000...(i know she had the £250,000)....he normally offers something low like £14,000 - £15,000 to try and intice them to go on and lose...so yeah £20,000 would probably be about right by todays standards...around £20,000 - £26,000
Yeh, I think this was from one of the first few weeks of Series 1, so the valuations were not as well informed from the banker, which is why it is incredibly high.
This is British Deal Or No Deal what's in her box you mean it was £750 and our show is the best cos its like a family not like your show were its all screaming and shouting some people from America say that this show is better
and you had to cheat to get your 1st 2 $1000,000 winners by putting 3 of them in your crap million dollar mission we play by the rules in the UK we play the game as it should be played you Americans just want it all
It's totally hypothetical. If you know you have the small amount, and Howie says you're taking home your case if you refuse 450K, are you going to turn down the 450K?
If I "know", then of course not. But as I said, you don't know. If a case accidentally opened, they would stop play and randomly distribute. So you would no longer know.
This is one of the biggest problems with the U.S. version, seen right here.
There is no knowledge of the swap here except if you're lucky enough to know about it. Howie just says that you'd leave with your case. Well, assume this situation happened, with 10,000 vs. 1,000,000. As with Jennifer, who "knew" her case had the 750, your case accidentally opens. Would you say No Deal to $450,000, "knowing" you'll go home with $10,000?
See, West? You've also been cheated out of $550,000 because the host failed to explain the rules. You've proved my point once again. Swapping should be known to the contestant before they make their final decision. Once you've been told there is/is not a swap, you've already made your choice and can't change it.
its not very often they are offered to swap, and its still the same scenario; the contestant still doesnt know which box contains which amount of money and would still probably deal
I would be very grateful if someone would be kind enough to put these programs on from start to finish so that I can get to watch it all as I can rarely get to see it on TV.
sad fuckers in "the audience", wow are they sheep.

I would take the 120,000 pounds because the place where I come from, 120,000 pounds is about $1,440,000.

quadrupleplay 2 years ago
Mostly, I suppose that your question was innane. If this happened, play would be stopped, and the unchosen amounts randomly distributed.
