@1middlesbrough According to Anne Sinai's "Reach for the Top: The Turbulent Life of Laurence Harvey," Laurence Harvey filmed his last movie, "Welcome to Arrow Beach," when he was very sick with stomach cancer. He edited the movie while hunched over in pain on the cutting room floor. The movie wasn't released until after his death.
Love this film, haven't seen it for yrs, it was on tv. Just shows that she should have hitched a ride with the hippy not middle-aged cancer-riddled Harvey!
Sunday Horrors - New Zealand - early 1980's - used to watch with the volume on real low so we didn't wake our parents. I remember this one but haven't seen it in years. Brilliant.
An artist's last work has always a his own more pregnant meaning. Especially if it's made in the wonderful seventies. Also I want to se this movie SOOO much!!
This is a masterpiece

This wasn't Laurence Harvey's "directorial debut". He'd previously directed "The Ceremony" in 1963.
